Aluminum vs. Wood

Searching for an Iridium Silver, Black Leather, AND Aluminum trim. Any leads? I'm not a big fan of the way the wood contrasts with the black interior. Kinda looks out of place IMO. I've found like 5 Iridium silver ones but all have the black maple trim. I don't want to have to "settle" but I don't think I want to wait until a December delivery if I special order now. PM me any leads if you know of any Iridium Silver w/Aluminum trim out there. Thanks.

Ask your local dealer (with one in stock) to locate one in the MB dealer system. They will be able to find one quickly and can easily swap their C63 for the one you want at the other dealer.

They can see cars in production, on the boat over, or on any dealer lot.

Have you seen the black maple in person? It's not the orangish/mahagony colored wood that you see in regular luxo cars.

I have had aluminum trim on most of my cars of late, really REALLY wanted CF - but we all know that story... was very pleasantly surprised at how the black maple blended in. It's really very complementary to the interior and I havea a black on black car.

If you think you've seen it and the wood looks like wood - that's not it. It looks more like charcoal with wood grain.

Anyhow - just a suggestion.

Carbon Fiber for the black interior - I saw it, love it, and ordered it!

I personally hate aluminum trim it really looks and feels cheap (to me). Black maple, burl walnut, or CF for me any day.

Can someone post pics of the different trims? Or at least post a link to where we can see them and compare?

TIA

Love the black maple. Real wood interior trim pieces is a MB tradition, even when it was out of vogue.

CF is nice, but it's stupid money.. especially when it's not particularly saving much weight.. faux CF would have been just as good for 10th of the money.

I agree the silver isn't that great, it looks like standard trim on a base car (well.. it is)

Maple wood

Silver trim
