My car started build on 20th August, so if yours is 2nd September then it should have the new mirrors.

The dealer explained to me that Build production date is when the car is actually finished building and ready to ship... I really don't know how it all works, all I can say is a few people on this forum did mention ship dates were quick after Prod date was given...

Yeah that makes sense and believe that the production date is when all assembly is completed.

This should store the reverse mirror position as soon as you select reverse it should go to your personal saved setting.

This works for the UK model good luck!!
thanks for the gelp, but this is not working for me, time to read that book. if not brake it and buy the new ones, that whould give me a reason to buy them lol j/k

Folding mirrors NOT available for the US market cars. It was one way of keeping the pricing down!

You are confusing "Folding Mirrors" with "Dip in Reverse" Two different features.

DiR: All AMG's have the "Dip in Reverse" passenger mirror feature and must be set up under your convenience options. Consult your Owners Manual for instructions.

Fold: Both External Rear view mirrors fold close to the car for the tight spots. Not available on the C63 in the US market even as a Dealer add option.

Alternative: Contact our good friend Steve at http://www.mbenznl.nl and he can arrange the parts (folding mirrors) and install next time he is in your area.

Well, that is really easy to do, for dip and reverse. Adjust the mirrors pointing down and in direction you want to see for backing up, or whatever else you are doing, and save it as one of the memory button options. Manual just makes it seem confusing.... any car with multiple 'seat' memory setting can do this...correct?

Don't think tilt down mirrors will work on cars built for US!

Would you know how they would add the fold power buttons to an existing interior?

I'm getting my VIN# tomorrow and just asked my dealer if he happens to know if my car will have the new mirrors and he told me that they are illegal in Canada and that no Cs coming into Canada will have those mirrors. Anybody else from Canada know if this is true or is there any chance he doesn't know what he is talking about. I have no idea why those would be considered "illegal" here.

I can only tell you that my dealer (owner , shop foreman and saleman) together told me that the W204 , all models, will be fitted with the new mirror as of Sept 1st.

Any sightings yet? I may run by my Mercedes dealer this weekend to see what the new shipments came with. Hope these new mirrors come soon.

Why will it be illegal to have the new mirrors in canada, even the 09 slk,09sl n the 09 sl uses those mirrors as well. so i dun think it's illegal

He is confused with the European 19" wheels in the 1st post versus the American 18" wheels.

C350 4Matic
Got my car last night.

Its an 09 C350 4Matic, white all options. It came with the 08 mirrors. I was a bit sad to see them but honestly.... I dont give a crap, I love my new car. I suspect that the new mirrors will be landing on dealers in the next week or so.
So any one who is close to getting there car has a big chance of the new mirrors.
