Well the waiting is over!!! I finally picked-up my Merc from NJ today. I'll tell ya, its a good thing I was able to take a 2008 and 2009 C63 for a blast (M mode) several times to get a good feel for the beast oops I mean car. Now, I'll need to take it kinda easy for 1K mile ... Just today I put on 70 miles. On the online computer it EST 14.8 per/G, I guess its Not to bad, I've been in "S" most of my drives but I think MB said to stay in "C" mode for 1K mi

I'll have pictures to follow, but the dam weather is getting bad here (lots of heavy rain) in NY throughout Sunday. Maybe some garage pics tomorrow if I get the chance. CHEERS TO ALL!

 

you wanna know what i get mpg my highest was 22.2 mpg in a long trip, now when i abuse it i get 7.3 mph that was today, normal driving for me i get about 11.2 that my mpg for 7126 miles that i have on my car. lololololol i love it. 11.2 mpg and in .n.y gas is $4.16g so its safe to say that your c63 is ganna spit dolles at m3. and anyother car. have fun and good luck.

BTW one of the guys I know at the BMW dealer near me wanted to see it...I took him for a blast but only in "S" mode and he was amazed and stunned with a smile from ear to ear, I just wanted to see his face,,,,Tooo funny ; > ))))))) and I wasn't really hitting it, just a couple of blast's up the avenue.

 

22.2mpg? Wow. The best I've managed is 18.8mpg, and that was driving in cruise control @75 for about 100 miles.

 

I would imagine that as the engine gets broken in the milage may get better...

Did you get the new mirrors?

 

Nope... today when I was waiting for my car at rhe dealer I noticed the new mirrors on CLK's and CLS's 2009. I don't really know why my car didn't come with them... No biggy, I'm happy with my car...

Babe it for 2k and it will reward you. Can't wait for the pictures, I was told by my dealer that no PP, Mirrors, or Wheels are slated for the US, one could order but "you never see it" Is he just blowing smoke?

 

I kept mine under 4,500 rpms and in "C" mode for the first 1,000 miles. Now I don't!

dlbello, FINALLY, its like a father waiting for his new born and all of us here are like the uncles waiting as well, congrats and enjoy, I wasnt to concerned about driving it in C mode, just dont honk on it. As far as mileage, I have 2700KM about 1800 miles or so and I have never used the trip computer for gas mileage, I didnt get this car to watch what mileage i can pull off, thats just me...all I know is the guy working the night shift at Sunoco knows me by my first name

 

For the most part, its perfectly fine ... Once and while if you go over many bumps in a row, it quickly reminds you that you're driving a sports car

 

I'm pretty sure he is 99.9% full of crap... Go to the largest dealer you can find and they should be able to help you get what you want

 

Was it you that had some probelems with the engine

 

I'm also not concerned about the gas mileage, it was just stairing me in the face when I last got out of the car. Its most likely not acturate anyway. The dealer had me go through all of the system functions while car was running for a while soooooo yum yum eat'em up was happening
