MHP v2 Track Results!
Another long *** day ending at NRP. I'll make it quick.
I arrived at Norwalk at 5:20PM and decided to jump in the staging lanes immediately to see how the car would do with v2 tuning fresh off a 2hr+ drive to the track. I switched to MT 265/18 DRs from the 285/18 Nitto DRs this past week in an effort to gain a better launch. Man do they bite, lol, the downside is they walk a bit up top (not as bad as a true slick but definitely a different world from the Nittos). I hit 3500 miles on the way to the track today. Car was left in sport/auto shift mode the entire time.
First run: Zero cooldown, fresh off the drive in. As you would find the car on the street any day of the week.
Actual:
5:34 PM
1.935 60'

Even though we didn't run an actual 11, overall we're still very pleased with the results. Trapping over 118.7 actual/119.3 corrected is no small feat on a sticky MT DR in a 4150lb car, the ETs weren't bad either.
I'm guessing (I'll hit the dyno Monday) that we picked up 12rw+ (conservative guess) over v1, with firmer (still MB like) shifts and the stock shift points (for those worried about excessive rpm/driveline wear).
I'll post timeslips when I get home tomorrow afternoon, there was a friend on hand to shoot a video (of my last run) but somehow he only ended up with my car up to the burnout box. At least there were 400+ witnesses on hand to verify lol.
Pricing for v2 ECU/TCU tuning for C63s is $4000. For a full Stage I package (+ filters, thermalnators) $4250 including shipping.
The first five customers to purchase v2 tuning for their C63 receive a $500 discount, making for a total of $3500 for complete driveline tuning. Add $250 for thermalnators/filters.
Thanks!
Andy

ps--probably the best part of the night came after the track. I stopped at a gas station to fill up the tires to 38psi (ran 20psi at the track) and hit a deserted backroad straight away on the way back to my parents house. I was doing ~40-45mph and decided to hammer it for the hell of it. The trans grabbed 2nd before my foot hit the floor and the tires began screaming all the way until the chirped 2-3 shift. That made my night.

Looking for a new toy.
Very impressive, especially that trap speed - ET's can be all over the place, even with a good driver if he's having a bad day *L*. But trap speeds don't lie.
I've watched these tuning posts with a lot of interest (have a C63 on order), and while they all claim good results, kudo's to MHP for putting his car where his mouth is.

Andy, Not sure if this was covered on the forum previously. Are the ECU and TCU in the same unit (PCM) or are we looking at 2 separate units??

Thanks LZH, So to accomplish an ECU/TCU Combo tune all I have to do is pull and ship my ECU or will Andy need the car onsite to complete the tune?

We can tune on the dyno (we're hosting a dyno day Nov 1 in Columbus) but most of our tuning will be done via FedEx.

Andy, very impressive numbers you got there! I will wait for your dyno sheet, but those numbers are really strong, congratulations.
Andy, will your V2 tune works fine with your future headers and exhaust? Are you planning on doing a V3 for optimal power gains with Headers-exhaust?
Thanks. Lou

Undecided at the moment. Always been happy with Cory and Kleemann but I must say Andy has made me look at other alternatives in the ECU dept. Think i will drive the car for a week or 2 first and see how the drive line behaves (or not) before I decide. Like you say....can't go wrong either way.
