Hi Guys,

Question about delivery times. My C63 finally got serialized on Oct 10th, 2008, which is the final step before shipping from what my dealer told me. I have checked the online website for tracking, and no information has been added yet.

What was the timeline like with those of you who got your cars from the time you got a serial # from the time it arrived or was at least on the boat.

Also I up in Canada, which maybe takes longer not sure.

 

Well, I got my VIN# on Sep 22nd, ship landed in Halifax on October 8th, I am taking delivery today, Oct 29th. I am in Kingston, ON so I would assume slightly longer wait to Winnipeg. The major bottlenecks are Halifax (took almost 2 weeks to board a train to Toronto), then it sat in the lot in Concord for a week before being picked up by truck. A little frustrating just knowing that your car is just sitting there but hopefully tonight after work, the wait will be forgotten and well worth it!!

 

lol, My dealer told me that I'll have to wait until mid of Nov to pick up my car, I'm in Vancouver tho. >.<

 

MB sent me my VIN on Oct 2nd. Arrived Halifax on the 23rd. Arrived at the Depot in Concord yesterday and at the Dealer in Toronto today.

Should have delivery for tomorrow or Friday....

Thats 6 days from coming off the boat in Halifax

Definately alot quicker than my current situation.

VIN # recieved on Oct 8th, and 22 days later with status still waiting in Germany.

Unless I do not have the correct VIN, but I am looking at the printout my dealer gave me, funny though my VPC says Vancouver at the top and not Winnipeg ???

 

Barry cant wait, finally, are you putting on the wheels at the dealer or are you going to drive away with the OEM 18's? So when are you putting a road trip to Ottawa, better be soon as the white stuff is making an early appearence!

There are absolutely no voyages scheduled from Bremerhaven to Vancouver in the next 3 months. Last ship (UNIDINE) left Bremerhaven bound for Halifax on the 23rd and arrives next Tuesday. Your car should be on this ship if it missed the TORTUGA that arrived on the 23rd

No, that makes no sense at all. The VIN# must be incorrect.

I went to that site and there is no information entered yet.

My dealer called his western canadian rep, and said my car has been sitting at port in Germany since Oct 13th, no idea why it hasn't left yet, but is scheduled to be on a boat in 4 days, so by looking at the schedule Nov 2nd on the MAERSK WIND makes sense. Will be in Halifax on Nov 11th, then however long it takes to get to Winnipeg.

I still have no idea why it would be at port sitting there for over 2 weeks !!!
