Thanks

Barry,
Received and installed mine today. My thoughts essentially mirror your commentary so far, better throttle response and it pulls harder across the board. Definitely didn't lose any power. The next step will be to modify the Y pipe inlet into the intake and fab some larger diameter inlet tubes (to the airboxes).

Andy, Glad you concur. Let me know if you find a source for the Engine Cover retention clips. Wouldn't mind having some extra on hand down the road if you know what I mean...I have been hunting for a week and can only get them as part of the cover at $150

From what I understand the throttle body on the 6.3 motors will flow around 750 CFM of air max., and the stock feeder pipes seem big enough to flow 750 CFM's. Do you think a larger set of pipe will help?? It might be interesting to do a before and after dyno with that one...

Barry,
There are twin TBs inside the bottom of the intake manifold. Each should be capable of flowing over 550cfm on its own. A stock longblock 6.2 on its best day at redline may ingest 675-700cfm tops. That being said eliminating restriction is always a good idea.
Therefore, yes IMO the dimple in the Y pipe needs to be removed and we could use larger inlet tubing (especially up front where they mate to the fascia). I know that several hardcore 63 dragracers have gone quicker/faster when removing the filters completely (I have yet to try this and plan on testing it at MIR) with both stock and our CF airboxes, so there's restriction left in the system no question. I'm also thinking of removing both inlet tubes completely and testing.
I hear you on the clips, I'll check into it and see what I can find. I can get the front portion of the cover for $80 or so if all else fails.

Here's a great computer animation posted by another mbworld.org member of the 6.2/4v. At the end you can see the twin TBs inside the variable geometry intake: http://www.eitechnologygroup.com/gal...age_full/1135/
