Passenger side mirror - tilt down in R
I'm having trouble setting the passenger side mirror to tilt down in reverse. I have the memory seat option and am following the manual instructions exactly. It just doesn't tilt down when I'm in reverse. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong? The rest of the memory functions work as described.

I have memory seats and didn't know the drop down mirror was included in the package!!! On the way to the garage to try and setup. I had it on a E46 M3 and it was so convenient I never scratched a rim parallel parking with low profile 19's.
I never got a chance to look through the manual. Some idiot scratched my car in a mall parking lot and when I picked it up from the body shop the manual was mysteriously missing from the passenger seat where I had left it. Tried to order it from the dealer but when I picked it up it was a revised manual sans the leather case that came with my 08. Dealer's explananion is that they revised the manual and the older one was no longer available....anyway I digress.
Just tried it at least 20 times with no success.

Speaking of memory seats, it's irritating that you can't link the seat memory positions to a specific key fob so the seats and mirrors are already adjusted by the time you buckle up. My Denali has that function, so did my Audi. It's a shame that a car like this does not have that feature.

My 09 c63 has the tilting mirrors did it right out of the box.. probably enabled somewhere in one of the sub menus. Seems to be a feature of the 2009 Canadian models since it also has power folding mirrors.

Aust. 09 models have tilting mirror feature.
As to different memory presets to each key - it is a great feature to have (I'm 5'8" and my partner is 4'10"), my old C class had it, my SLK didn't and for this car, she's not even had a drive yet...maybe next week.....

You need to first set up a memory position (1,2 or 3) for yourself. Then start the car and put it in R. keeping your foot on the brake and adjust the passenger mirror to where you want it for reversing or parking. Press M and the 1,2,or 3 that you are working in to save this position(Beep) while still in R.
move the stick to D and within 6 second the mirror should go back to your driving position. Then when in R it should dip.
If not PM/Email me and we can hook up so I can set it for you.
