It would be great if someone from Evosport chime in and comment what could be wrong with mthis ecu flash....?
Maybe they flashed your ecu as a 63 series ecu, and not as a c63 series ecu....I don't know. All I know is I'm worried cause I'm getting my ecu today, done by Evosport.

I have my car flashed by Power Chip in Melbourne, I did not dyno the car but I can feel the car pull a lot harder doesn't feels like only 16hp gain.
May be they accidentally flashed you with the first version Power Chip ECU upgrade which only increase it from 336kw to 352kw which is more in line with your rwhp dyno result.
Stock
(336 kw) 450 hp minus 17% tranmission loss = 373.5 rwhp which is close to you stock dyno result.
If they really flash you with the first version
First version
(352 kw) 472 hp minus 17% tranmission loss = 391.7 rwhp which is very close to what you are getting
I don't think Evosport or Power Chip were dare to post a fake dyno graph to make a quick buck and damage there well known established brand name.

Is this a recent Powerchip flash? I thought they were touting a 433rwp ECU only tuned C63???? Sounds like Powerchip has some explaining to do. Were your baseline and tuned runs done onthe same dyno? If so I something is not right. 16.1 HP gain??? Powerchip was claiming to have access to the file to be able to bring all 63s up to at least SL63 type numbers (525 crank). Even witht the C's smaller diameter exhaust you should be in the 415-420rwhp if they did indeed bring you up to 525 crank range. See below
By my calculations your 374.9 multiplied by 20% driveline loss equalls the factory claimed 450 crank hp....right on the money, this tells me the dyno is very accurate
When I calculate out your 391 post-tune rwhp figure x 20% driveline loss I come up with 469 crank HP, which is nowhere near the 525 crank HP M-B claims the 2009 SL 63 makes, again you shoul dbe at at least 420rwhp.
One more thing, was this a 91 ocatane or 93 octane tune?
Something ain't right my friend!

Have you informed Evosport or Powerchip? This does not look good, 16.1rwhp gain, my car made more than that with the "old" Powerchip tune, although my more significant mods may result in better gains across the board. Makes me wonder if there really is a "new" Powerchip" tune. I was wondering about that myself a few weeks back, I waited for about 7 months for an "updated" Powerchip tune and then all of a sudden when I post that I am switching from Powerchip to and MHP tune the president of Powerchip contacted me and suddenly had an "updated" tune available. I'm not making any acusations but it does make one wonder.
Evosport are great guys, they do wonderful work, I plan on sending all my M-Bs and Bimmers to them in the future, but in my opinion Powerchip is not the way to go. If you would like to talk please PM me your phone number and I can give you some facts from some recent dyno results since my MHP tune. I have choosen not to post these results out in public beacuse I do not have a baseline run that shows the Powerchip tune with my Evosport crank Pulley. My most recent dyno run reflects the MHP tune and Evosport crank pulley but without my Dymags. Dymags were worth about 25rwhp on dyno. Evosport claims to make about 10 rwhp with the crank pulley so common sense says I should just subtract that 10hp from my number and then subtract my old dyno number and add 25 hp for Dymags to come up with MHP gains. I have done this for my own knowledge and I can tell you the MHP gains are more than impressive...I will just leave it at that as to not start a pissing match. My advice to you, go with an MHP tune. I have no obligation to ether tuner, as I already mentioned I love the work Evosport did and will continue to do business with them. However, I pay for my ALL mods and nobody is paying me to run their stuff on my car, until that happens I am going to report back to you guys with 100% honest facts and feelings. Bottom line, your best performance gains will be with a MHP tune...no comparison. If I thought otherwise I would have already shipped my ECU back to Powerchip begging on hands and knees for them to give me my old tune or even their so called "updated" tune back on my ECU. I only put the best on my cars, right now MHP is the best in this department.
PM me for more exact details and my dyno figures.

All 63s are identical internally less the air inlet tubes and exhaust. The tunes per model essentially require the same A/F and timing tables for all 63s.

Like many have said in this thread, this is far less then expected or then we have made with a dozen or so local cars. SO, YES, I am not pleased either.
There are certainly many things that can go wrong, and it sounds like something has. As Andy points out, the best next step is to re-flash the ECU.
Please contact your sales person here at evosport and they can expedite that process. I am sorry, but I don't have your name, or I would have them contact you.
Rest assured that we take these issues seriously and will get it resolved to your satisfaction.
Thanks
Brad

Mthis,
As Dale communicated with you yesterday, the problem with your car is that you were sent the original file, not the updated BS-spec one.
While I am very disappointed that this has occurred, human error was to blame, and I know that each of us has been known to make a mistake now or then. Sadly, you were the victim.
Very sorry for the inconvenience, and I will be creating a store credit for you in the amount that you paid for your dyno's. Just send me the receipts. It is the least we can do.
thanks
Brad
