Right now I'm debating if I should order some Dymag Wheels for my car. I'm posting to ask if anyone has any experience with these wheels or gripes/complaints about them. From my brief online research the 18'' weigh about 13.5 lbs and 19''s from 14-17 lbs.


Oh yeah I'm also wondering if anyone out there knows for sure if the stock c63 18'' wheel measurements are: (from my search of the forums)

Front:
18 X 8.0 Offset 45
235/40/18

Rear:
18 X 9.0 Offset 54
255/35/18

as I am probably going to order a set of 18''ers. Also debating if I should bother to roll the rear fender to fit 285s or just go with 265. I'm also not sure if dymag has offsets that fit the c63 or if they are custom built to order.

Dymags are great wheels, but for $11k, they're just too expensive. It maybe better to spend half of that on good performance mods

I agree with Moe, but if you're dead set on them more power to you (literally). Talk to jrcart about his experiences with them.

yeah it's pricey without a doubt, I got a price quote for about 8grand tax in which is very competitive in my mind. In the near future I plan on ordering your ecu tune as well MHP, I figure I could get the most out of it with lowered rotational mass :p.

I got quoted 8 grand for 18 and 8200 for 19'' which seems really competitive especially considering its in Canadian dollars :p.

I'm getting some 19inch ones for next spring, they are very nice wheels. Get the center in the new material, just came out, but can't remember the name.

$8000 otd is a steal, is that for 18" or 19"? I paid over $10,000 for my 19" Dymags about 10 months ago.

moebiusone: Yeah magnalium :p after their incident involving that 997 turbo in mexico the switched the center hub to a magnesium aluminum alloy to reduce the incidence of corrosion/stress fractures.

jrcart: definately a killer price, I just need to figure out what offset/dimensions to order the wheels in, having a hard time getting a definitive answer on what's a good fitment on the c63. I decided to go for 19'' but the dymag website doesn't seem to have proper fitments for the c63.

I hear you; their website is so so and has not been updated for some time now!
Even the wheel sizes have quotes such as new size coming in 2007...

I am also having difficulties figuring out off set and get it all right...no one seems to know for sure

and oh HRE has teams up with DYMAG and made 2 new wheels with dymag center and HRE outer peace check it out on google ;p
