Availability/Price in Canada?
I'm seriously considering a 2009 C63. I'm located in Edmonton and I'm finding it difficult to find the colour and package I want (Iridium Silver/Black interior with Premium Package).
Also, the dealers in Edmonton have a "take or leave it" attitude! Doesn't anyone want to make a deal? They offer no discounts even though it is year end and the vehicles have been on their lots for a few months.
Is there a deal to be made in this country or will I experience the same behaviour?
Please advise.
PS. what's up the $2000 "green tax"?

There is that exact same colour combo with PP package about a month ago here at the Boundary Vancouver dealership. Not sure if it's still there though but you may want to give them a call.
I understand what you mean by not getting a deal. It really seems that Mercedes Canada has not been effected by the economy because they arn't willing to deal. I even saw some used C63's with a premium on it over MSRP
Good luck.

Well if dealers aren't willing to dicker, then do what a lot of us have done - order one. That way you get EXACTLY what you want, and as winter is going to last awhile yet, what better time to order so as to have a spring arrival.

This is definitely an option. I was told that there is a 5 month wait if I order.

No harm with checking with a few dealers to see if they have any upcoming build slots available - maybe someone else backed out, or they've just holding a slot on spec.
P.S. the 2000 green fee is our version of the gaz guzzler tax.

I wouldn't mind having one shipped from out east if it is possible.

-Alberta and BC are the strongest in the country right now. Well im not sure about BC right now, a few months ago anyway.
-The fact that the car is soooo hot and in demand.
-The price of the car is amazing for what you get ( we all know this already ).
Just think about it... why would you discount somthing that is already priced so good and demand is so hot??? Dont mean to be a ***** but...No matter how good a deal is, people always want better. That just human nature I guess. Personaly if I was you, I would order what you want and get it in time for the good weather. And if for any reason the price comes down after. Dont dwell on it!!

Markham Mercedes tried to hit for me for $90,500 out the door. Can someone please tell me that this salesman is kidding himself. I wanted CF, AMG and premium pack. Prices also switched a bit because they removed the thermotronic and opted for parktronic instead. I need help badly. Cause i dont want a M3 cause they doing 15k off the sedan and its tempting.

Well, a C63 so optioned comes to about Can$75000. Add the green levy (gaz guzzler tax...fargin' tree huggers! ), shipping/prep and various taxes and the price gets up there. Even so though, sounds like the dealer is still padding an extra couple G's on there.

A completely optioned out C63 with absolutely everything available prices out at $77 665. Even if you were to add in the green tax and fees, it shouldn't be $90+K.

Well 77665 + 13% (Ontario PST + HST)=87761 + 2000 (Green) + 2000 (shipping/prep as per MB Canada web site) =91761 or there abouts. So yea it can get to over 90G's. Sticker price anyway

lol...sorry...forgot about that damn PST thing....8% that's ridiculous. Guess you guys should have considered buying one out here. Keep in mind that is also completely loaded with everything available including upgraded paint. Still seems high compared to the dealers out here.

Well there is a proposal submitted to the fed gov't (for the new budget to be tabled in Jan) for a 3 to 6 month tax holiday on new car sales to help boost the industry...fingers crossed on that one *L*.

if you see my other post, a MSRP C63 with most options will run you easily over $90k out the door! if you can get $2k off the sticker, that's $2260 off, that's $90k out the door easily! you could argue about the $295 admin fee, but other than that, if you add the option for ipod and the teleaid, that's another $1600 of option, and that adds another $1800 after tax, so fully loaded C63 in ontario with MSRP will be a whopping $94k out the door!
