Where do you mount E-Zpass in a C63?
Using E-Zpass here in NY area and just ordered interior tag for my C63. Besides spray painting it black which I have read makes it less conspicuous, where are you mounting it in your car? Not even sure if I needed interior or exterior tag and E-Zpass rep had no idea what tag a C63 needed either, so sending interior tag. Can I just throw it in the lower left corner of my dash whenever I use it like I do with my other non-Mercedes cars without mounting it?

I had gotten mine by the dealership. Ray Catena had MB EZ pass holder works looks great, they actually gave me 2 because the windshield suction cups wear out.

Short answer is that it's covered in the owners manual (or at least it is in the SLK's manual - don't have my C's manual handy), and here's the EZ pass rec's on some of the other models. As far as I know, all the MB OEM glass has "pass through" areas on either side of the rear view mirror.

I mounted mine right in front of my rear view mirror w/ the MB EZ-Pass accessory holder which is black w/ MB logo facing outward, works fine have not had a problem as of yet. And its almost unnoticeable from the outside.

Yes, I want an opinion and I guess I got one from you. Point taken but you are too literal. Try stepping back and not pizzing people off with patronizing responses. Sorry if I'm being too bold here.

Ya, had problems mounting my EZpass on my S550 two years ago, even after following the manual instructions and mounting it in the one small area of the windshield where the Mercedes manual said it could be read. After talking to EZpass it turned out I needed to mount it on plates - in this case, Mercedes manual offered an incorrect solution. Noreaga 0021 this is the long answer why I asked for opinions.
In my C55, I keep it in the center console, and hold it in my hand close to the windshield when I need to pay a toll. I have had no problem with it being read, but I don't know if the C63 has a different windshield.

Mine was an '07 S550. After mounting it in the small area that allowed RF tag reading and getting constant tag not read, toll not paid and "call E-Zpass" messages as I went thru NJ Turnpike, Holland and Lincoln Tunnel toll booths, I did finally call E-Zpass and the customer service rep said the new model S-class needed the front plate mount tag which I used for last 2+ years without a problem. Maybe they enlarged the RF area on '08 windshields or maybe E-Zpass made adjustments...man, we need a Mercedes Developmental Engineer on this board to give us some quick answers - that'd be sweet!
I placed my pass on the right of the RV mirror
that way there is no obstruction to the drivers view and
pass works smoothly, and lastly its hidden if you look from outside
because of the black area.

To all, just ask your dealer for the MB EZ-Pass pouch. I think most dealers have it as a give away up in the NE U.S. its perfect.. Black and discrete mounts behind R/V mirror...end of story
I have a C350 and got the external pass and Zip Tied it behind the lower grill. On the C350 there aren't as many coolers up there, and you can just pop out the upper star grill and reach down to the lower grill. From here used 4 black zip ties to secure the black external EZpass to the inside of the grill. Works perfect picks up at every toll.
