ECU Tuned C63 vs Nissan GTR
Anybody with a tuned C63 fool around with the GTR, just curious to know how it does. I know for a fact the stock C63 is not a match...but respectable.

I think it´s still not a match....maybe a full tuned c63 (ecu/tcu, long tube headers, exhaust, pulley, air filters) can outrun a GTR....but we´ll have to wait for that to happen.

The best stock GT-R times I saw at MIR (same day I ran) was 11.66@119-120. So with DRs our ECU/TCU and airbox, you can run with a well driven stocker.
We can get 60-70whp out of a GT-R ECU/TCU though.

The GTR will kill a C63 even with a tune, thats if the GTR does not tie its transmission in a knot. AWHP and RWHP are total different animals. The only way a C63 would have a chance would be from a roll.

C63, even tuned, won't work out well against a stock GTR. One of our Russian friends posted a video of a GTR beating a tuned M6 on the highway.

Tune + DRs is another story guys. I cut the same 60s as the GT-R at the same track/same day. On the street, agreed, the GT-R has the advantage but at the track, we were pretty even with the C63 laying down the best ET of the day.

I'm assuming the GTR was tuned too? I say this as from what I've read (twin test vs 997TT) the GTR falls rather flat above 120mph, and this is just where the M-V10 gets going, as we know firsthand.

There were 2 GTR's, pretty sure they were stock. I was SHOCKED myself when I saw the video. Lost the thread but search for E55RUSS's last posts.

Shiet. There's a couple around here that seem to treat the city streets like a drag strip and I know better than to lose that race and my license in the process. Been itching to meet them on the hwy though. Having run door to door with an F430 60-140 and stomped many others I was settling into the fact that I only needed to fear the likes of 599s, LP640s and possibly SL65s out of stock metal on the freeway. This is a troubling development indeed.

When Nissan makes enough money from replacment tranny~
I kid I kid...
But seriously, any updates on the tranny problems?
Back to the topic, I think C63 may take the GTR on straight... No way in hell on twisties.... (all depends on drivers but if the car was driven by the same pro driver).

the GT-R pulls hard well into the 150's, and the car is so quick from 0-100 MPH, most cars I've come across just give up.....
with no launch control, just stomping on the gas and a crappy 1.9x 60' time, the car still runs to 100 MPH in 7.2 seconds....

Well like it was mentioned street racing is not like drag racing. On the roads the GTR will eat many cars & from a traffic light it might be too ugly

I have both cars and would say that even a tuned C63 would have huge trouble keeping up with a stock GTR from a dig or from 1st gear. Above 100mph though, it might have a chance.

I think a well-tuned C63 could run with a bone-stock GTR - the MHP and MKB cars seem to support this, vs. what I've read as car-mag test times for the GTR (11.5 @ low 120s). I strongly suspect that the GTR is much more forgiving, however, with launch control and awd - even relatively inexperienced drivers could likely do very well with it. C63 less so... you'd have to launch it near-perfect for it to be close (IMHO).

I live in Japan just yesturday I raced my C63 PP (Stock) with GT-R on free way. I was very easy to stay with GTR. It was not fast at all. When it comes around 160km C63 was way better. Anyway in Japan GTR have speed limit of 180km top speed so from there on any european car kill it. But GTR is very fast on the track. There is no way that C63 can beat this.

I read an Australian company is working on reinforcing the gearbox for upcoming models. If there are tuned C63's running mid 11's (MHP) and trapping over 122 (MKB) then that places them in the same league as a stock GTR for straight line performance.

I know we're talking straightline performance here... but lemme tell you take a ride... ive never been in a c63 before but the gtr's handling is simply amazing! the thing that really got me was that there was no tire squeal... no squeal!!!!!
sorry that might have been a bit much but i was thoroughly impressed.

Wow, I have yet read/seen as stock GTR ran 0-100 mph in 7.2 sec. It must be on a down hill?
In all the car mag I've seen, the GTR can't even keep up to a 08' Z06 at those speed, and the GTR was left further behind as the speed increase.
Sure, it's quick vs a sedan but when compared to other world class performance machines as Nissan said it was meant to. It's fell short in that catagory..
