and yeah, its noticeably stiffer to me. I could really feel the bumps. Maybe some slightly softer tires could help.

However, I really do like the feel of that steering wheel. Wish it was a stand alone option.

Anyone know how I can check my C63 to see if it has the performance package suspension? Someone had this car on order and canceled at the last minute so I took over and bought it. The dealer told me it is just the base package, but the ride is quite stiff and I can pretty much feel every bump.

I heard that you can check at the dealer by providing the VIN number, but is there also another way just by looking at the springs or something? Thanks.

There is probably a way to check the VIN#, but for starters you can look at the brakes (PP has 2-piece front rotors versus 1 piece stock).

It is definately stiffer. My friend has a 2001 Porsche 911 and it seems very comparable to his car. You feel every bump in the road but when you can and do push the car, it is a nice feeling to have. I would love to take it on a track and see how it feels.

Thanks. I'm looking at the front wheels but I cannot tell if the rotors are 2-piece or 1-piece... any easy way of checking this?

Yes. The PP front rotors are slotted and drilled. The std rotors are just drilled Also, look at the disc/disc carrier. On the std wheels it looks like one piece. On the PP wheels, you can see where the disc is bolted to the disc carrier hub.

2 piece rotors look like this:

I have the 2 piece rotors but only have drilled hole. What does that mean.

If you're anywhere near Chicago I'll buy your suspension for the difference and we can swap for my standard. I find it too soft having come from an M coupe - but PP was not yet out when I got my car. That way you get the wheel you wanted with the ride you would prefer! PM ME!
