went to saks saturday and im half way home already -

just to gt it straight, spend 1k, take delivery, get 1k gift card? seems like a no brainer...

 

We got the $1000 gift card from the Sak's program for buying the GL in Jan 08...a nice bonus!

The Mercedes Club of America also gave us a $1500 gift card for buying a new MB and being a member for more than a year..a nicer bonus!

on the phone they say you hav to spend the $1k then buy the car to qualify -
i've ordered the car, but its not being delivered til May 1, but on the phone shes telling me its wen you sign the purchase agreement...

regardless im gettting it bc ill make my dealer change the dat of the paperwork, but has anyone gotten the gift card by spending the money after you actually bought the car?

 

Ya, you have to spend over 1000 dollars on your Saks card in 08 or probably 09 too. After signing your car papers in May, you just send them a copy of your purchase agreement, then they said you the $$$.

I think you have to have charged the 1000 bucks anytime before you sign the purchase agreement. I called before buying, they checked the account and then gave me the OK.

Yep...it also leaves out the SLR and the Maybach.

 

I was just approved for my Saks MasterCard today. So it will take 1-2 weeks to get the card in-hand in order to spend the $1000. Does that mean I can't buy my car this week and qualify for the promotion? I have to first wait to get my MasterCard and then make a purchase and then purchase the car...

I read through the fine print of the offer and didn't recall a required sequence of events. But maybe I missed it....

u must spend the $1000 first then buy the car - you do not need to wait for the card though - go to a saks with a picture id and they will giv u a temp card to shop with (this def works for the saks card, im not sure about the saks master card)

taxes do not count towards the $1k fyi

From the Saks terms, it looks like you could buy the car, charge the grand, and then request the gift card. Just call Saks to make sure.

No sequence of events. You can buy the car then spend the $1K and they'll still honor it. Just bet the deadline.

You should really make out now with them unloading overstock from last season. My wife just asked for a new purse. Glad I can put $1K of Saks money towards it :-)...and all for buying and driving the C63!!!

By the way my wife was driving the other day and passed me on my way walking back from the community tennis court. The exhaust note and throttle blips sound FRIGGIN' INCREDIBLE outside the car. It just growls. Funny I never hear it cause I'm always driving it. I thought it got no better than hearing it from the driver's seat. Boy was I wrong..LOL
