Question C63 - anyone notice vibration and shaking?

Hi, it's been about 2 weeks for me with my C63. One question is that it seems to have some vibration / shaking when driving, especially when going about over 70 mph. Where I notice it the most is the steering wheel, which seems to vibrate moderately at highway speeds. Is this normal for the C63?

My previous car was a Lexus GS430 which had pretty much no vibration even at 180mph, but maybe i'm so used to the soft ride of the Lexus that the C63 vibration feels awkward still?

Anyone notice any type of even slight vibration in the steering wheel when driving on the highway? Thanks!

I forget the year but Lexus offered a warp core/normally aspirated hybrid option but the price of trilithium crystals made continuing that prohibitive.

Where do you live? And did you take delivery of your car with the Pirelli P-Zero tires, or something else?

Dealer, wheel balance, warranty. Unless you curbed it and bent a rim

Good luck

Yes of course! Definitely warranty, I'll be going in next week. Just kinda hoped that they were all like that or something because the thought of a new car having wheel balance or some other issue already in 2 weeks of owning the car ticks me off. Maybe I've been spoiled after driving a problem-free Lexus... hehehe!

Does this mean that none of you experience even a slight vibration of the steering wheel when driving on the highway?

I haven't noticed any shaking in my steering wheel either. Get the dealer to check it out.

The C63's steering wheel does not--should not--even vibrate a millimeter, at any speed.

I can close my eyes and imagine my Escalade traveling at Veyron speeds. It doesn't mean it really happened.

When I switched to aftermarket wheels on my CLK, I noticed some steering wheel vibration. If you haven't modified your wheel setup at all, then something is wrong.

Hunter Road Force Balancing is the mac daddy of tire balancing.

It actually puts a load on the tire.

Clicking on the "yellow Sun looking icon" will tell you where to find this system. There's one near you.

No noticeable vibrations per se, but my hand(s) tingles when off the steering wheel.

Jeep SRT8's have had the same problem. 99% of the time it has been bad tires. Vibrating at 70mph. The other percent has been drive shafts out of balance.

Went to the dealer today to get it checked out. Turns out the front wheels were out of balance, and also the drivers side tire's air pressure was low. After balancing and setting the right pressure, no more vibration.

Very dissappointed though that a new AMG came in from Germany with unbalanced wheels.... sad...

And dealers should not be handing the cars over with the tires as much as 14 pounds under pressure like mine was. Did not even make it home before the cluster lit up with pressure warnings.

Checking tire pressures seems like it would just be part of a checklist and a matter of routine.
