check coolant, check oil level

i first started getting the check coolant message maybe about a month ago. i read here and there and i thought it was due to the random warm/cold weather here in dallas. the message would only be there in the morning when i first start the car but not every morning. and throughout the day/night, i won't see it again until another random day. i don't know if it matters, but the car is parked on an incline overnight and it's been like that ever since ownership.

the check oil level message was random as well. it just happened when driving normally. i check it at the oil level is on the first red notch. since my last oil change at the dealer, i've put about 6700 miles on it.

any ideas? or should i just call the dealer and have them look at it?

What I like!
If the oil level is on the lowest red notch, it is at the low end of the acceptable range. With 6700 miles on that oil, I'd go ahead and change it again and see if you still get the warning message. Also try parking it level overnight and see if you get the message.

The 63 engines are known to consume oil, add some, and carry some in your trunk.

CLK 500(Gone), C63 FTW!
it's been 4500 Miles for me, and I did TWICE to top-up my oil level.

the first one like one gallon!, the second one it's even 1.5 gallon

I had the check oil level message come up at 5200km's. The level was just over the 'low' red level.

I took it in to my dealer who confirmed that the 63 uses a bit of oil for the first 5-10000km's. They ran it into the workshop & topped it up for me - I was out of there 5 minutes later.

2009 C63 AMG Black on Black PP Package CF fully loaded
I have 2K miles now @ 1800 mi I had added 1 1/2 qts of oil... 1/2 qts at a time every 500 mi, I kept it between the 2 red tabs on the oil stick.... I just had the dealer replace LSD oil and also a full oil change @ 1850 miles.

All is well so far!!!
