How about some feedback on the MHP ECU/TCU.

I am doing my best to make arrangements to run with you. I don't know what I'll have time or funds to get completed before then. Either way, I want to run up there with you at a good track. Good luck racing!! I thought I remembered you mentioning you could bring the stall up electronically?
God Bless,
Keith
Are you affiliated with Powechip? I know they're an Australian company maybe you can provide info on why the ECU will trigger the Esp and go into limp mode when road racing. Seems that the aggressive throttle isn't compatable with the ESP.
Jimmy

On that note I havent seen any of the Powerchip programming, but normally these sorts of faults come about by the traction system not being able to reduce system torque enough to line up with commanded traction due to the torque management being 'switched off' in the data segment

It would be great if you could make it up bud. It's Sunday March 1st and I'm looking forward to meeting you and some great runs!
We raise stall rpm but only by 150-200rpm, the rest we have to do mechanically.
Take care,
Andy

With regard to C63s the difference in rear tire height when running DRs (both Nittos and MTs are taller than the OEM P Zeros) often triggers an ESP related limp mode--due to the ABS sensors picking up on the difference between rotations/speed of the front and rear wheels. mthis has had success not triggering the ESP related limp mode by running 245/40/18 front tires with his MT DRs.
Jim,
It's ESP related, probably tied into the yaw sensors. It's definitely not in the ECU/TCU.
Only complaint is that they walk slightly up top, Nittos don't, but then again they don't bite nearly as well either.
Jim/jrcart told me it happened to stock tune/tire equipped vehicles at Willow as well.
Running a Nitto or MT DR on the street with stock size front wheels/tires triggers ESP limp mode as well. Also the ESP is never truly off (we have ESP off as well) except in dyno mode (no power steering either). Andy
