I currently have a V1 radar detector and it is by far the best radar detector i have ever seen in action. For example, i was able to pick up radar from a patrol car about 1/4 mile before my friend with a passport was able to detect it. I live in the NY area and also have Blinder Laser Jammers. Laser is only used on some of the open highways such as 684 where it is just miles of straight roads. An officer has to be stationary while using the laser gun in order to assure accuracy (since laser is just one tiny but extremely precise beam of light). However, around town, our patrol car have just been fitted with front and rear facing RADAR guns that can be used while the patrol car is on the move. The V1 is extremely sensitive and has never failed at detecting this. The V1 is so sensitive in fact that it detects the traffic cameras at intersection and has even been known to pick up some microwaves being used in residential areas. However, the V1 can distinguish between the different frequencies and also tell you the direction of the source as well as the strength of the radar. If you want to be able to detect a patrol car with radar before anyone else, then get the V1. But if you want to be able to let the AMG beast loose on an open road, then i would recommend the Blinder Laser Jammers to block the laser.
