Sorry to hear, man. Love the C63...the way it looks and sounds.
Consider the M5, M6, M3. Audi S6. Probably able to get CLK 63 BS for mid 80's
, and it'll already be broken in.
I'm probably going to get the CTS-V once my lease ends.

Sorry for your problems.
I guess you can shop around and sample other vehicles but I can't imagine not driving the C63. Even if I was offered an E63 at the same price I would still take the C63 or at least take the E63 try to sell at a profit and use the remaining amount to buy another C63.
All the best with your selection!

Sorry to hear about the lemon and it is a good time to buy out there. Recieved a call about an M6 coupe I was looking at before the C63 but the deal was more then I wanted to pay. The discount they offer was unreal and they basically were giving it away... Talking about $1000 month range. Didn't bother with all the details as I love the Benz.

Sorry to hear about your car. Not being in your shoes I'm not sure I'd consider another C63 or not, but when they're built correctly they're amazing.
M5s are wicked in their own right but they have nowhere near the low end/midrange we do.

Tell them to waive the mileage fee and you will take a brand new C63 as a replacement. Sounds like you just got a bad one. I wouldn't let that put you off man....there are plenty of guys on here with C63's with little to no problems. Not to mention the 63 motor is one of the best AMG has ever made. Otherwise, you can bet your *** they will stick you with at least a buck a mile use fee.
They are happy to take the car back but to prevent fraud they bill you for the time you used it and the wear you put on the car.
That was the deal I was given on a C32 with 26k miles. My buy-back price was pretty low and I had to take the hit to get the new car.

I just got a call from a MB representative that they have agreed to buy back my car. I inititated the "Buy Back" program a couple weeks ago during one of my many service appointments.
They will give me the money i paid for the car less a mileage adjustment. This will include Tax and license fees. Not sure how much the adjustment will be, hopefully not too much. Anyone know? Car has 6000 on the clock.
Now the question is what am I going to get next. Not sure. Probably won't get another C63.

you should ***** and moan about the milage charge!!!!
if you complain well enough, they'll agree to drop that too, 100%
why should you pay for 6000 "lemon" miles
you wanted a new car, and paid for one
what you got was a lemon, and they shouldnt tell you any miles you put on it were "normal"

Hey man sorry to hear about ur C63.
I agree 100% that MB should waive or meet u halfway with the mileage. I would try to have it waived but it can be a hassle.
Also, before you turn your head away from MB to BMWs or Audis do a bit of research on google and see how many people, especially BMW owners have lemons. I will tell you from my personal experience that BMW have many electrical problems. My whole family owned BMWs and they caused the most amount of headaches for us. Many of the people I meet who own BMWs are not happy because they are also having problems with their 3series, 7series, M5s, & M3s.
Anyway Good Luck!

Every car has weaknesses. You appreciate a car for its strengths. In the AMGs case, phenomenol power/torque. Ms, handling and overall driving dynamics.
I feel the C63 is the first mass produced AMG that gives a great combination of power and handling. I love it.
But if you want to start a dumping contest, AMGs has their fair share of crap, probably more so than Ms...

I went through the Lemon Law in CA and the milage deprecition was $.10/mi. This is set by state statue. A manuf. voluntary buy back depreciation is negotiable.
Keep in mind the CA Lemon Law depreciation milage starts when it is reported. So if you report the buy back problem at 1000 mi and used it for a total of 5000 mi the depreciation is calculated on 1000 mi as stated is CA state statue.
Good Luck.

I would say get another brand new C63 or go with something equivalent to it. In my opinion, the only thing i would pick over my car right now would be a clk63 BS
. Now thats an amazing machine... Good luck though.

Id personally go for the M3. While it may have less power, the handling is simply marvelous.

Out of curiosity, did you just deal with the dealer or MBUSA? I am getting ready to start a buyback/lemon law on my Toyota and the dealer doesn't seem to care one way or the other.
