It's official: My car is a lemon
I just got a call from a MB representative that they have agreed to buy back my car. I inititated the "Buy Back" program a couple weeks ago during one of my many service appointments.
They will give me the money i paid for the car less a mileage adjustment. This will include Tax and license fees. Not sure how much the adjustment will be, hopefully not too much. Anyone know? Car has 6000 on the clock.
Now the question is what am I going to get next. Not sure. Probably won't get another C63.

see if you have the option of getting a new one with trade off. and see if you dont have to pay anything tell them you going to buy a bmw or someting trust me they will fall and give you what u want. they have million car left over that they cant sell.

BMW just announced new incentives on all their cars a few days ago.
Phillippe on Bimmerfest is taking $10K off 550i's (hot looking car with the sport pkg) ... and of course there's always the M5.
Those are 2 cars I'd be looking at as well as the M3. Crazy prices on everything, new or used. Now's a great time to be a buyer. Glad to hear this is resolved for you, you definitely got a lemon. I hope your next car serves you better.

Can't believe the C63 will be gone (I spent hours in my garage just looking at it after I got it), but looking forward to whatever new car is coming along. And you're absolutely right. It's a GREAT time to be buying right now.

Tell them to waive the mileage fee and you will take a brand new C63 as a replacement. Sounds like you just got a bad one. I wouldn't let that put you off man....there are plenty of guys on here with C63's with little to no problems. Not to mention the 63 motor is one of the best AMG has ever made. Otherwise, you can bet your *** they will stick you with at least a buck a mile use fee.

Geez, you'd be a good customer to nurture for the long-term, it seems. If I were MB, I'd give you a super sweet deal on something further up the hierarchy than the C63, just to keep you coming back for more.

Yeah you should man. And as someone else mentioned, tell them you are seriously considering a BMW. Hell, try to get an M5 for the day and show up at the dealership driving it...raving about the SMG...LOL. That'll make them think twice about loosing a customer. Saying you will buy a BMW is one thing...showing up in one will make the impression stick...

that sucks that they couldn't fix your C63...i know how much it was a pain with all your posts. i hope no one else has had so much trouble with their car.

RS5 is definately coming in the summer of 2010. That's pretty far off, and I bet you dont wanna wait that long, but it's an idea down the road...The RS6 is the one which is not making it to the US unfortunately. i drove the station wagon RS6 in Europe and boy that car hauls *** like no other.
