Off topic, but what do you all use for the rear plate? I still have the dealer frame on, but I think it's lame. Thought about getting a CF frame, but I've heard there are a lot of cheap versions available online that fade or yellow. I may just go with black coated brass. Also do you guys ever use the clear covers that some frames come with? Thanks.

I still say leave the front plate off, its useless, and completely unnecessary.

THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE WITH THE PLATE FLIPPED OUT

I ALSO THINK THE PLATE LOOKS BETTER WHEN ITS POSITIONED NEAR THE LOWER SIDE OF THE GRILL,
WAY BETTER THEN IF IT WAS ATTACHED DEAD CENTER

LOOKING AT THE FRONT OF THE C63 (WHICH IMO IS THE CARS BEST VIEW)
I THINK A PLATE WOULD LOOK BETTER NEAR THE BOTTOM BUMPER THEN DEAD CENTER

Trying to re-direct the conversation away from front plates are evil... (yes, in a perfect world our states wouldn't require them; but oh well)

I was thinking of going black for the front frame (to match the black mount housing):

...and then chrome on the rear plate (to match the chrome trim on the trunk and the C63/AMG lettering):

Does anyone think the two different colors will look weird though?

so iw ent with the stainless plate frame for the rear - for those that switched out the plate fram, whats the proper size screw...screws do not come with it and the original ones arent long enough to thread through the frame, plate, and dampeners.

Im only asking bc im lazy - i dont want to try different sizes.

Sorry, I don't know the screw sizes off-hand. My after-market plate frame for the rear came with the correct screw sizes.

C63 owners don't go with the swift option. Another C63 got one installed last year while I was in the market for one and told me not to bother because it scrapes. If you want the license plate to be scraped by the time you put it up, it will look ugly IMO. Also if you talk to the swift motorsport staff, they will tell you not to buy unless you have a certain amount of clearance.
