Best Front Plate Frame (for Mars Red Color)

So I live in one of the miserable states that require all cars to have a front plate. And I've decided to mount one since I don't need to antagonize the local police.

Given that I'm stuck with a front plate, I'd like to make it look as nice as possible.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice plate frame (front and rear; but more so the front) for the C63 AMG?

My car is Mars Red so I'm thinking it would have to be either chrome or black.

Thanks.

None, get a plate attachment to the tow hitch or do it from the underside of the bumper.

swiftmotorsports.com has some options

Have you seen the noholes plate from gominigo? Uses your tow hook hole.

We might move to state that doesn't require one so this was perfect for me.

It's nice to take it off once in a while too...

The problem with the tow hitch is that I think the car looks a bit odd with the plate to the side.

For those recommending black/CF plates, any specific high-quality ones come to mind?

This chrome one also doesn't look bad on Mars Red:

These AMG CF ones also don't look bad. I just wish I could see them on a car:

That plate thing is cool but lets say you get a fix ticket with it down , and you pull the plate up for the cop , hes not going to accept it . It has to be drilled and bolted to the bumper well in california it does.

i just got pulled over today.....told the cop i simply forgot to flip it up....he said ok and left

it is impossible to get a ticket for no plate, when you clearly have a plate!

this is just a way to mount the plate with out drilling the bumper

no where in california law does it say you have to drill hole into ur bumper

in anycase i think a car looks disgusting with a center plate....so 99% of the time i leave mine down

i mainly flip it up when i park in the street not to get tix

obviously you might get pulled over driving around with it down....

but you should avoid a ticket

and if you get a "fix it ticket" which i doubt you will

you take a picture of the plate and send it in.....but that wont happen

cant get a ticket for no plate when i got a plate

I agree with you 100% plates in the front look uglyyy , but when I got a fix it ticket I went to the high way patrol to get signed off . He would only sign off the ticket if there was two screws bolted to the front to make sure it was secure. So idk.

It is screwed on to the bumper, just the underside of it. It doesn't matter in CA as long as the plate shows in the front and its screwed/bolted somehow.

On my previous car, I had the plate screwed from the underside and it extended out.

I live in NY and I have been pulled over many many times. They never gave me a ticket ever. They say the same thing everytime. "Take it too the dealership so they can put the braket on"

That's pretty slick. Affordable too! Going to have to keep that in mind if we don't move. Might make a better permanent solution for me.

youre lucky man...ive gotten pulled over twice and ticketed twice!

BUT, THAT WASNT THE MAJOR PROBLEM

i mustve gotten 15+ tickets when i was NOT in the car, and it was just parked on a public street with no plate

so when i leave the car somewere i flip it out

yea, im not worried about being pulled.....i drive with the plate hidden anyway

only time i flip it out is when i park and leave in publc

just make up a story that you just got the car back from the dealership because you were in an accident and had to change the front bumper and you are actually on your way to the dealership to get a new bracket for the front license plate.

Hey Larry, I haven't got a ticket as of yet but I don't park on the the street either... About a month ago a NYC Brownie actually seen no front plate and was approaching my car when I said I'm outer here, she yelled out hey where's the front plate I showed in my hand as I ripped out of there. You know as well as I do that a Brownie will write tickets till the sun goes down and here in bayridge they go around the clock, tks to the city never sleeps.
