go drive one...they are slow, unless you get the supercharged ones...and then they are on the slow side of fast...and too small.
I bought an '05 Elise (the lightest ones) and brought it to the track...Pocono F-USA, yes it's a track that leans towards higher HP cars, and it was really too slow. After 100mph, it just dies...no pull at all. I traded that in 6 months later for an '08 M3, wanted the C63...test drove one, too...but couldn't give up the manual tranny.

My toy car?... At this point, after having quite a few "toys" over the past few years, I'd have to say a tube-framed "race-car" is the only thing that would fit the bill. My wife wants the C63, and I still do as well, so the M3 might get traded in next year, at which point I'll probably get a T-1 prepped C5Z06 for the track...and that will be my toy until I get bored again.
Until I get bored again...why am I cursed with that?...sucks...
Be good,
TomK

C6 corvette for me. Tops gotta come off. I want a Viper but I can't stand the convertible Vipers. Same with the Porsche's. I guess I will have to change my standards soon considering there are not a lot of choices that the top comes off.

Don't knock the Boxster til you try it, especially top-down in the canyons. Original owner, pushing 70K miles. We buy our cars to enjoy them.
In fact, that's how me we met... on a Boxster drive! Sold one Boxster S, still have the other. Sort of has some sentimental value now. ![Cheers](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/cheers.gif)

There is a member on here that is very active at events here in the NW that has an Ariel Atom, as well as a CLK DTM which he had brought over. I believe his screen name is SilverSurfer.

I feel like for a toy car you gotta get something you can just throw in your garage and take it apart on weekends and have fun with it like something you can put massive turbos in perhaps like a supra or something you cuold actually put yourself to get that sense of satisfaction...that is just me....

I got an EVO VIII MR euro specs for winter going up skiing and snow driving on ice track, and a renault clio trophy, that is the only stock car I know of of that has sachs adjustable dampers 20 position from the dealer not even an option, it's the model standard, but if I had some money I would get an Caterham Superlight R500 !
Here are the specs for it,
Engine: 1999cc, in-line 4-cyl, front-mounted, longitudinal
Max power: 263bhp @ 8500rpm
Max torque: 177lb ft @ 7200rpm
0 - 60mph: 2.9sec
Top Speed: 150mph
weight: 1 100lb with 6 speed sequential gear box ! not much that can follow it, my friend has the 2004 model and it's madness on 4 wheels !

Ascari, creators of the stunning KZ1 supercar, has just revealed that it has a second car in development – the 600bhp A10 – a road going version of Ascari's Spanish GT Race Car.
Currently undergoing rigorous testing in advance of its Summer 2006 release, the A10 is the next generation Ascari dream drive. Engineers at Banbury and at the exclusive RaceResortAscari racetrack, are committed to ensuring this 220mph supercar delivers a knockout blow to the competition. And just like its highly desired KZ1 cousin, the 1280kg A10 will be just as elusive, with just 50 to be hand-built at Banbury, and even more exclusive with a price tag of around £350,000.
Power will come from a 600bhp 5-litre V8 engine, with a six speed manual as standard and a sequential gearbox available as an option. With a six-piece carbon fibre body, fixed rear wing and distinctive headlight configuration, the A10 is destined to be a head-turner.

Wow I'm so sorry, I totally misinterpreted the thread. I've been day dreaming all day at work and assumed it was sort of a wish list thread. My apologies. I just read the title and posted.

I did not see many responses in favor of the Ferrari, say, earlier models such as a 360 (or even earlier with a 355).
This is good as I was pleased to see some creative and thoughtful toys on this list beyond the obvious ones (such as Ferrari). I'm not bashing Ferrari--as I previously stated, I test drove both the 355 and 360 and chose the 997 2S over those as a personal preference.
Makes me appreciate C63 drivers even more.

Has anyone considered a Tesla Roadster. That would be an awesome and exclusive toy.
