What would be your "toy" car?
My 2009 C63 is my DD. My wife has an ML350 (2009). So, the 911 is purely for fun (when I want something that's not 4-doors & a roof). It's not something I'll track.
Can anyone share their toughts on this combo--particularly anyone who has owned a 2006 or above 911 with a similar car mix?
Also, I'd like to hear from others what "toy" cars they have (unless the C63 is in fact your "toy")
I won't go for a vert next time around however. When I had the Boxster, I drove with the top up most of the time with the weather up here, and on long cruises my scalp would feel numb from the wind buffeting off the top of my head. Probably should have worn a cap

Congrats on the C2S though, I really prefer the 997 over the 996. It should be a good compliment to the C63. Well, a Porsche would be a good addition to any garage.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

2 Taylorcoleman Why not a Turbo 911? It will definitely give you something to "play" with. The turbo boost will be a good alternative for the daily driven NA Merc engine. IMHO

Plus, I found truly mint 2006 (997 version) with ~2,200 miles with 1 owner, in an S version. With an ECU tune, and with the existing aftermarket exhaust, it's a fast car.
But the cache of the turbo is hard to pass up. Believe me.
Interestingly enough, I drove a 2003 Ferrari 430 convertible w/ 5,000 miles and the most recent service completed. It was quite a bit more than the 997, but I was willing to pull the trigger on that. Suprisingly to me, the Ferrari just did not feel as good as the 997.

This is what happens when two car enthusiasts get married and don't have kids.

IMHO. I'd take the SLK55 any day.
