I'm finding the V8 Vantage kind of tempting.

I'm looking for a used F40?

RX-7 Turbo II is the toy car and gets tracked ocassionally. The Beast stays inside most of the winter, but wants to be a DD soon....

For anyone here interested in a scientifically-designed psychological study on the measure of women's arousal pertaining to the revving of an engine, see the following:

Perhaps this will help you decide upon your next toy

I didn't read the title of this thread. I thought it said what is your toy car. Now that I know it says "what would be your toy Car" That is an easy one. I would take a Ferrari F1 car rigged with head lights, tail lights and rain tires. Total street legal and totally the ultimate. It would also have to have the shocks replaced with air ride so that you could raise the front 6 inches for everyday driving lol.

I pickup my P-car tomorrow. If anyone is interested in a side-by-side photo of my ~550hp C63 next to my ~350 Carerra 2S, I'll be happy to post.

I guess the usual...F430, ZR1, Lambo.
Would consider the GT-R. Yeah, yeah, I know about the tranny issue, but for 75k, who cares. Went and looked at one yesterday. I think it looks much better in person, and the exhaust is typical Japanese. But I just can't ignore the performance, and the reviews have been nothing short of phenomenal...

My toy car IS a very custom, show winning 63 Corvette Roadster, modernized, with 480hp. Pictures attached.

If I was to pick a new toy car, it would be tough to pick (Ford GT, Aston Martin, Carrera GT, Enzo, Gallardo, etc.)

I saw a stunning lightly-used GTR in a showroom today. No doubt it looks great (IMO) in person--the pics don't do it justice. They seem to still be selling a little above sticker slightly used.

I did not drive the GTR, but I did drive a 2008 Carrera TT. As you know, I'm picking up my 2006 Carrera 2S Cab tomorrow, and had to make sure the TT did not blow my socks off. Please don't get me wrong, the TT was a fast, fast car, and very refined. But truly with my Kleemann tune in the C63, it's just not that much faster (unless you track it of course, or drag it). So I just could not justify spending $110K on the TT when I can get a $64K 2S Cab (with only 2,200 miles on it).

I'm sure there are P-car purists who would think I'm crazy to choose the 2S over the TT when I can afford the TT. It just did not meet the incremental rush that I had expected. Again, this is tempered by my fast-as-hell C63.

No, I think that many "purists" would choose a normally aspirated engine vs turbo. Would you take the TT or the GT3, since they are comparably priced? I think that the afficionado would take the GT3. Anyway, good luck with your new toy!
Pertaining to the GT-R, one of my friends just test drove it this past weekend and gave me his review. He has the Ford GT, Lotus Elise, and Mustang GT500 Cobra. He felt the Nissan was too stable, and he wasn't able to get a feel of the limits. He was afraid that once you reach beyond the limits of the vehicle, it may be out of control. So the feedback was not as crisp as he would have liked.

Excellent feedback, especially on the GT-R.

Regarding the P-car, someone previously posted that having the TT may be preferable over the GT3's NA engine, given the C63 is already NA. I'm told the 2008 TT has a revamped TT mechanism with very little lag--I'd have to agree.

But yeah, purists may likely choose the GT3 over the TT any day. Maybe I'm more of a purists as I chose the NA Porsche over the TT.

Interestingly enough (for me), the TT was nearly identical on the interior as the 997 2S. I was expecting more panache from the TT, screaming with visual validation that you're driving something far superior to its younger brother (or sis). Certainly from the exterior this is true, but not from the inside.

P.S. I've updated my sig to include my first 2 cars before I ventured into this sick and expensive world of fine automobiles. I still have a soft spot in my heart for my Chevy Citation...

+ 1
THE TITLE IS ABOUT WHAT DO YOU DRIVE ON WEEKENDS ONLY...
NOT WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DRIVE
