i phone cradle

Went to the dealer today to get the iphone cradle installed. ( they better get it right ) I introduced them to it a few months back being that they never even heard of it. Just was curious to know if any ofther members of this board has it.

What benefit does an iPhone cradle offer beyond battery charging?

I'm interested in hearing more about the benefits other than charging and what it looks like in the car...

I Didn't believe there was an IPhone cradle for the 204 C-class? What cradle are you talking about?

Just noticed you are in Toronto.

I don't believe that this is a US option / accessory yet. If so someone correct me.

Is that GLK interior? Doesn't look like W204

I believe "dremorg" is from NY. That's what his profile says.

Alright well Dremorg let us know how your US install goes. Because I have no information as far as the Iphone install in US. And the info I have on that part says it won't work with Iphone 3G.

I did read the article and I didn't mean that there is no cradle for C class.
I guess I was expecting to see a C class interior on the pictures.

I was just wondering if it is a GLK. Didn't say it was compatible with the GLK.

Sorry. Forgot to be specific about iPhone versions:

204 820 23 51 is for the UHI connector. Mostly found in European cars.

204 820 31 51 is for the MHI connector found in US cars

204 820 39 51 is an iPhone 3G specific cradle Universal by way of connector change (Euro / North AM)

Hope this helps.

Dremorg, Please update us with the Part # you installed and how it turned out. What Vr. Iphone too please

Fellas, I really don't know the part number off hand but I'll get it for you guys tomorrow when I call my dealer back. I got a call from them today and they told me that they had to call corporate to have directions sent to them somehow to do the install. That's why I said in my post that they better get it right. Anyway I still have the first generation iphone.
