Canadian C63 owners - What is the residual on your lease?
For all the C63 canadian owners, if you leased the car, what residual is your lease at and how long is your lease?

I don't know of anyone who leased theirs, at least not here in Vancouver. I don't know the details, but the lease deals didn't seem very attractive.

May I ask how much you put down? I'm planning to drop $15,000, on a low mileage lease. The payments should work out to $600 a month. I would buy the car at the end of the lease.
Thanks

I put down 15000 and my payments including taxes (15%) and options ( Prem. Pkg.) and the dreaded Green tax ($2000) are $898/month.

If you sum the payments of your proposed transaction, including the $15K down and residual, I'm sure you will be absolutely shocked at how much you are actually paying for the car.
From your brief post, all of your criteria are fine if you plan to take a loan out on the vehicle, not a lease.
So my unsolicited recommendation is to either take a loan out on the car with $15K down, or don't get this car.
But hell, I've been there, done that, been stupid about leasing cars that I could not afford in the past. Sometimes it takes that painful experience to not repeat it.

You may see me posting around here, pouncing into action as the lease police.

No worries here!
Well, generally, you might be right. However, I have been in situations where the lease rate was heavily subsidized (i.e. much lower than the finance rate) and the buy back was heavily supported (i.e. much higher than what I think the market value of the car will be at the end of the lease). In these cases, you are better off leasing the car since you are in effect borrowing at a lower rate than you could have had you finance it. It's really a case by case, and you would be surprised how often you get heavily subsidized lease rates and artifically high buyback. It happened to me with a Volvo and a Jaguar before.

I never said I was so happy. You guys said that.
Anyway, sorry about all the fuss. I didn't want to offend anyone but one guy started by saying that I shouldn't lease the car because I couldn't afford it. How the !@#$ does he know? That's why all this **** started.
