2009 C63
havent had both - just got my C63 a week ago and I love it
not much a fan of converts nor am I a fan of cars being replaced soon...
CLK63, if im correct, is getting anew version very soon...it would bother me personally having an older version when the new one is out

Good point...but having an older model doesn't bother me...hell, I'd be happy finding, buying and driving a mint C43 if I could find one.

What are your goals for the car? What is the purpose? Just to drive? To track? Do you plan to make any modifications etc?
Styling will always be totally subjective and in the eye of the beholder but if you really like driving around in Miami with the top down then you obviously can't do that with the C.

I have had both on a track in Dallas, actually, there are a number of members here who attended that AMG event that day, the CLK63 CAB was the most dissappointing car of the bunch of AMG cars there, all of us drivers would roll our eyes or just cringe every time it was your turn to do laps in that car. We were all amazed of how outdated this car looked and felt, it has the old tranny where the shifts were extremely slow, the tranny didnt double clutch like on the new C63, the interior looked so "old" etc. SO, given that myself along with a number of MBworld members drove both, it would be a unanomous decision to get the C63. Hopefully other members will chime in here.

I was in Dallas and agree with Nick. In addition to the car being outdated, it doesn't come with quad exhausts.

I would still get the CLK63, since it's a convertible and much more rare than the C, it will likely hold its value better - especially long-term.
I know that's a lame reason, to most of the guys here, but value for money is important to ME, anyway!

Looking at the CLK63 there really arent that many things that differentiate it - C63 to me really sticks out in comparison to its brethren.
And just read the article about the E class coupe replacing the CLK

C63
CLK63 is ugly imo, i think the 1 gen older clk looks better than the current one even though i still dont like clk lines.
C63 is the most agile car in AMG lineup(BS excluded), so i would definitely go with C63(c63 looks wayyy better than clk imo)
however, if its a clk63bs, then it's a different story. its a very unique car with unbelievable performance.

I think you better test drive both! As you are the one buying it. Having said that, the C63 is the best AMG I have ever driven..actually scratch that, it is the best car I have ever driven. The sound, feel, power etc. It's so intoxicating!!!
