some new wheel ****..

Hi Guys

I got my car back from Brabus on saturday and got wheels put on today. I have got 19in HRE Monobloc M40s in brushed aluminium finish. got 235/40 on front and, while i ordered 265/35 on the back Pirelli delivered 275s. I didnt find out until i came back to pick up car amd tyre guy said he noticed some tyre rub when he cornered a roundabout and hit a pothole during wheel alignment test drive. This shouldnt have happened if they were 265s but i looked at wheel and its 275. The part of the tyre that transitions from tyre sidewall to the tread rubs on the smaller of the 2 pieces that are glued/taped to the fender guard (you know the piece that Revozort makes a carbon fiber replacement product for?). Doesnt rub in regular driving and judging buy the mark on the tyre there must only be a few atoms in it because the mark is barely visible. Might have to shave that piece down or get fenders rolled a bit.

Was going to wiat for 265s to turn up but decided to go with wider tyre as i need all the rubber on the road i can get with the B63 S kit (holy fark!!). Anyway here are the pics, i love the look as the wheels pick up the chrome in the window trims, the fill out the wheel arches and the 275s look super aggressive to trailing M3 jagoffs Will give car a clean (rained all over it on weekend as soon as it was delivered) and take some full on pics to give you guys a better idea of look, with the carbon fiber add ons i have got as well. if i do say so myself i think it looks pretty darn good, one of only 2 B63 S's in Australia

That looks great! You didn't lower your car but those wheels make it seem like you did.

Well done.

Thnaks for comments guys. I paid equivalent of US$6k for wheels delivered to Australia

Chubbs: The B63 S comes with new sports air filters, new high flow cats and new ECU tune. You can read about it here: http://allworldcars.com/wordpress/?p=6630

I also got the CF Bullit wing for free after p*ssing and moaning about the price

Hi Pat

I had the wheels designed with 265s specifically in mind. Having spoken to HRE today they said that had i actually planned on 275 they would have recommended a changed offset so i guess the conclusion is that you should make sure HRE know exactly what size tyre you plan to run.

Rather than getting fenders rolled and risk cracking paint and having my face ripped off with a full panel respray I am going to stick with what i originally planned and get the tyre guys to replace the 275s with my orignally planned 265s. Bummer but what can you do
