how do you like these tires so far? i need some new tires as my Pirelli have reached their limit after 5k miles.

how come you didn't do a wider tire in the front like 245?

A couple things I've noticed in the past 2 days of driving on them (mostly on the highway)...

1. The a/s tread pattern is actually quite similar to the oem Pirelli P-Zero's.

2. I'm not sure if they need to "settle in" or not, but it seems like I'm getting a lot more "float" on the highway...no pulls to the right or left; just like a "floaty" feeling like when it's very windy, but even when there's little wind. I wonder if this is b/c of the two different tire types on the front vs. rear?

3. The Bridgestone RE760's are quiet for now and they seem to grip quite well, although I haven't really driven on them in the rain yet or done any hard launches.

4. They have a treadwear rating of 340 (vs. the Pirelli P-Zero's 220), so time will tell how many mi. they actually last on the rear of my beast.

I will update everyone on my experiences with the Bridgestone RE760 Sports in a few days, but for now, if anyone has any thoughts as to the "float" I'm feeling, please chime in. Thanks you.
The floating feel mostly comes from not having a solid center rib in the tyre tread pattern. It is an annoying feeling sometimes.

They seem better now; maybe they just needed some time to "settle in." Anyhow, I did the NitroFill (nitgrogen instead of air) in the new rear Bridgestone Potenza RE760's (matched the front OEM Pirelli P-Zero's with nitrogen @ 39psi) and they seem fine now. IDK; I'm just hoping I get at least 10k mi. on these rear tires. If not, I'm going back to my Falken FK452's.

I have 19" 285 Nitto Invo on rear and 19" 265 on front. They grip so much better than the Pirellis. It's like night and day.

I've heard some ppl say that 275/35/18's work, but like most others, I went with 265/35/18's (up from the oem 265/35/18's) on the rear with no issues.

Tire sizes

WITH AN 18" RIM YOU ARE PROBABLY LIMITED TO 265'S. WITH A 19" YOU CAN GO 10" WIDE ON THE RIM WITH 285/30'S. WITH A 20" RIM YOU CAN GO WITH A 10.5" RIM. TIRE SIZE WILL PROABLY STILL BE LIMITED TO 285. MAYBE A 295 WILL FIT BUT I'M NOT SURE. I HAVE 10" X 19" WITH 285/30 RUBBER AND HAVE PLENTY OF CLEARANCE

I got Sumitomo HTRZIIIs about a month ago from Tire Rack ($165.00 each) and am quite happy with them. Too soon to tell if they will last longer than the pathetic PZeros, but they have a 280 treadwear rating and they cost much less than the Pirellis so they should be a winner.

Same as the OEM Pirellis as far as I can tell. If they last longer than the PZeros (which should be pretty easy, unless they are made of recycled wet toilet paper) they will be my tire of choice for as long as I own the car.

PZero Nero A/S

I had the Nero all seasons put on the rear about 2000 miles ago, and I have been happy with them. They are definitely not a sticky tire in the dry, but wet cornering performance is great. They were relatively cheap, and they have a pretty good treadwear rating. I would rather have some stickier tires for hard stop light starts, but I do not have the time to keep going back to the tire shop. Wet performance and treadlife are paramount. They are a bit more comfortable. I can feel a hard bump from the stock PZeros on the front, and a bit softer thump from the rear Neros. Unfortunately this translates into a floaty ride making high speed lane changes… interesting. Can anyone report on the extreme contact DWS? I am seriously considering these.

so far, i'm understanding that going 245/275 will NOT have any problems on the 19 inch OEM rims. BUT i did want to re-ask a question i think you guys ignored, from gsrjc. Does going with fatter tires mess with the speedometer? It's a pretty important question IMO

Wider tire does not affect you Speedo. I think the speedo is affected only if the tire is taller... At least that is what I always heard.

Very useful. I'm sorry if this question sounds stupid but where is the speedometer connected: front or rear wheels?

I want to say, or have heard, that it's connected to the tranny at some point. But if the diameter of the rear wheels changes, then your speedo will be inaccurate. Larger than stock diameter = speedo reads slow, vice versa.
