Besides, it's very hard to match the quality of the factory painted calipers. I've had my calipers painted on my Audi and they looked great until I took my car to the track After couple of laps I was cooling it down at the pit-stop and this thermal resistant whatever super-duper paint was literally BOILING. I ended up scraping it off and repaint it again. But after cold winter it's got chipped off in many places and I just gave up AMG calipers the best looking IMHO. Matches any color and it's perfect for calipers shape as well. IMHO.

2 things I dont understand people changing
1.) calipers
2.) exhaust
These are two of the best features of the car imo...if the C63 came with plain metal calipers I can see changing them, but ours are f'ing nice with the Silver paint and black AMG logo

Second that. Plus, I don't understand why people ditching those gorgeous AMG 5 spoke for some aftermarket

I ditched the AMG 5 spoke for the gorgeous AMG 16 spoke And the only reason why I'm planning to mess with the exhaust is to add LT headers. Doesn't really change the beautiful exhaust note either from the videos I've heard. Just a little more beefy, which is ok by me.

Good luck. I personally, haven't seen painted aftermarket calipers that look as good as factory painted AMG, Brembos etc. When they look OK from a distance up close they are not that great. Just my 2c...

thats not me that wants to paint my calipers, im against it - i meant differentiating my c63 with Modulare after mkt wheels

There's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to customize the look of your wheels or even calipers. Those stock AMG wheels are all fine and good, but don't suit everyone's tastes. It's impossible to design something that fits everyone's tastes, and that's what fuels the aftermarket....market. Those peeling and bubbling aftermarket caliper paint is due to crappy job. Get it professionally powdercoated and you won't have that issue. Heck, those AMG calipers are just repackaged Brembos that were re-powdercoated the silver you have now. Although I agree that I like the silver AMG calipers, some find silver on silver kinda bland

The only 'coloured' calipers that look good are the ones that come factory optioned i.e. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Porsche. Any other make of car than has the calipers re-coloured I think (yes this is my opinion, but feel free to jump on my bandwagon) is a bit 'try hard'.

This depends on where you are. Socal and south florida have plenty of C63s on the road.

Ahh i painted mine red (which i think looks awesome) and ive gotten the brakes red hot many times, and still no issues. If you properly sand blast they original silver down to the metal, and use a special high temp paint and clear it will never come off or melt. I think there is a reason Brembo sells more red calipers then any color, at the same time silver looks great too.
