*NEW* Evosport 2-piece Rotors for C63 AMG
We're happy to announce the release of our 2-piece REAR compound brake discs for the W204 C63 AMG Sedan and Wagon. Made to compliment either standard front disc or optional Performance Package 2-piece front discs. Our rotors replace the heavy 1-piece rear discs. Shaves 14-lbs of unsprung weight! Comes drilled/slotted, black anodized aluminum hat (match the PP front disc hat) with hardware and, unlike the factory discs, our discs vent the correct way left and right. So you get the benefits of decreasing unsprung weight and more effective brake cooling!

CLS55, C63, 997 Turbo
Very nice!!! I've been waiting for these to install on the wife's C63. They look just as nice as the evosport rotors I have on my CLS55. Do I need to change pads as well? I think the car has less than 2k miles. Sending you an email now...want to order your 63 pulley at the same time. The wife will never know

I recently purchased a set of the Evosport 2-piece rear rotors on my Black Series, these puppies are light! Top notch quality materials and workmanship. I can't believe AMG did not offer rotors like these from the factory. Just another way Evosport figured out how to improve on perfection.

If your car has the sport package it should have come with the 2-piece rotors up front. If not I would assume Evosport has 2-piece lightweights for the front or you can just order the sport package ones.
Simon or Brad can you fill us/them in on this?

If the C63 pads are anything like the CLK Black Series stock compound (I would assume identical) they are more than sufficiant for even prologged track stints. I would change over to steel brake lines before switching pad compound, but that's just me. Evosport can hook you up with the lines too, they did mine.

Nice rotors, Does anyone know the cost for the Front 2-piece rotors through dealership and evosport? Hopefully, evosport is less than I could buy all 4 in the future at once.

We have/are evaluating making our own front 2-piece rotors for both the CLK Black and C63 (they use the same OE 2-piece front disc; the E63 uses a different front disc), but because of the size of the disc it may not prove to be cost effective. So for now, we can offer the 2-piece OE front if you don't have the PP. We also offer our stainless steel brake lines (a very nice upgrade) for both cars as well.
We can offer different pad options, from stock to high peformance street, to something more track ready. Call or email us for more info.

ones too fast according to CHP!
All four would be $2699 as a special package price.
Retail on the front is $990 per rotor
Retail on the evosport rears is $990 for the set.
Thanks

Got my 2 piece rears installed today...
Check it out kiddies... They're real:
Picked them up and installed them today. Fit the hub perfectly (As they should; My car was the development car...) They're so nicely finished and sooooo light. No rubbing or scraping, and the rear squeal under braking is gone too, go figure. Also, the vanes, holes, and slots are mirrored on opposite sides, the way it should be. And the vanes are real vanes unlike the originals which were just ventilated in a randomish pattern.
I feel a little spoiled getting the first pair, but not spoiled enough to give them up to anyone else, that's for sure. I also had H&R coilovers installed so I can't comment on the rotors as a standalone item, but the car has a totally different demeanor now. Tight would be the word. But not harsh. It just feels like it should have been like this from the start. Typical evosport. I'll post more about the H&Rs in the proper thread.
Okay, I know the pics are more important than my blathering, so here's what you really want...
First off, the pukey old rotor:
And now, the new rotor, naked:
With his little four piston hat on...
And his brother with his hat on...
Proof that it's on a C63...
And a kidney punch of the old rotor again for dessert... (Looks totally low-budget compared to the new-new's, huh?)
Anyway, I'm still saving for the front rotors. Farking Mercede$ kills me with what they charge for the small parts.
Have a good night,
Josh
