Permanent Wax
I was wondering if any of you guys have been offered the perma-wax from the dealer? Not sure if it's worth the $500 ,I'm thinking of getting the clear shield/bra and the color of my C63 is Palladium Silver....

+1 on the clear bra for key areas of the car, especially if you have any amount of road construction where you live. Skip the dealer wax and either detail the car yourself regularly or pay a pro to do it. The car will look better and you will smile everytime you look at it!

part of the fun in owning this car for me is spending a few hours washing it 3-4 times a month...and twice a year stripping and adding a coat of wax to it....
(disclaimer, I dont have kids yet)
however, anything outside of an extended warranty for the car offered from the dealer is always a no-no ... Rust proofing? Wheel insurance? Undercarriage protection? No thanks, theres always some fine print involved.

I have a perpetual motion machine that churns out permanent wax using ocean water as the substrate. PM me for details and prices.

I paid about $500 for the paint, leather, and carpeting. Because the C63 (black with Sahara Beige interior) is my DD, and I have a 2 and 4 year old, this was worth it to me. I didn't spend the money so much for the paint, as I did the leather protection. It covers for leather damages for everything from puncture holes (such as pens), stains (such as lipstick, or paint), etc. It can cost hundreds of dollars for leather to be cleaned properly, and I'm assuming at least 1 incident per year, so for me, it's going to save me money.
As for the paint protection, I've had my car since October 2008. The car beads like it has a fresh coat of wax on it, and it shines just like a fresh coat of wax after just a simple wash and a wipe with a micro-fiber cloth. So therefore, I'm happy with this bonus for me. The warrenty also covers stains on the paint, though I'm not too worried about that.
If I were spending $500 just for "permanent wax" capability, I'd likely pass. But with the leather and carpeting included, it was good insurance given my situation.

Having sold Perma Plate products at a dealer in the past...I can tell you...skip it
Even with the warranty they claim, and the ease of washing, wiping, and cleaning-just take care of it like anything else-wash it when it needs it (think of keeping a $65k investment in top shape!) and make an effort to avoid eating/drinking in it when unneccessary.
Besides, I would have gotten you a steal at $380 for all 5 packages

The right wax job should last 6 months! I recommend Zaino wax or anything carnauba based.....check into those!
+1 on the bra, where do you live? What are the road conditions like?

This is a family board. While I personally have no problem with you wearing a bra (clear or otherwise) you should keep some of this to yourself.
