Looks great James

Are there any differences between the CF boxes for the E/CLS63 vs C63?

What are the prices of the boxes and will it require a different size filter?

Looks good! Question though - allegedly MB stiffened up the w204 chassis quite a bit (and frankly, it's not like the w203 was a limp noodle to begin with)... consequently, is there a noticeable improvement in steering response and/or handling precision?

Nice looking strut brace! I too am curious if the driving feel is improved noticeably? Geez, it is so easy to spend $1k here, $1k there on this car.

The CF air box looks good too! A little bit more stylish than my CF air box However no front engine cover is included? And price on air box?

I have the Performance Package suspension... would this make much of a difference at all?

Not feeling that air box, I like the Brabus and MHP ones better...

James,
"These air box provide a modest 20 hp gain..."

Was this gain on a stock car, tuned car, tuned with headers? I am interested in another 20hp but thats a bold statement since the other C/F airboxes showed no gains. You or Renntech will have to shed more light on this if you expect someone to shell out $2995 for 20hp like dyno graphs or how the tests were run or what car they were done on? We need more information please.

Thanks,
Keith

PS: The brace will do NOTHING for a stock suspension. If, and I do mean IF you run LUDICROUS front spring rates, then YES it COULD make a a difference. I will say this, It does LOOK GREAT

Have tried these braces on MANY cars over the years, at autocross/road racing. NONE of them made ANY difference. Sorry guys, but there just ISN'T that much flex going on up there.

See yeah

Yeah that’s what I thought... It DOES look great but for $1000 it’s just not worth it at all, you can put that money to good use elsewhere...

My understanding was the airbox gained about 12 whp on top of the tune. RENN's engineer (Dustin) did a great job on that one.

James, with the addition of the Renntech CF Strut Brace on a Performance Pack C63, how would it affect the car? Stiffer chassis? Less bodyroll?

Chalk the strut towers on a normal road car and take it to the track and beat he hell out of it it. Also chalk the other high stress parts of the chassis in the front and you will see massive amounts of flex. You might not feel the car potatochipping but its all bending and flexing away as you flog at it.

The brace wont stop it all but it will help. You need a true roll cage to stop all flex but thats for track cars only.
