Heat it with a blow dryer then use dental floss to seperate the double sided tape. Clean with GooGone or similar.

That is a good way to do that, but I will prefer a heat gun rather that a blow dryer!!

I suggested blow dryer because most people don't have a heat gun. And yes I do have one and that is what I would actually use. I try to give advice for the average joe (or jane).

Not to mention it's much easer to destroy things with a heat gun as opposed to a blow dryer. The dental floss is a good trick. Theres no way to pull the dental floss with your bare hands without slicing your hands open. I used leather work gloves and wrap the ends of the floss around the gloves, pulling in a sawing motion to break the double sided tape. It also helps to have someone else gently lifting the spoiler while you pull the floss.

You really shouldn't reuse the tape. Use new tape. 3M heavy duty automotive double sided.

so i just removed the rear spoiler and got rid of all the old tape...however, since i am putting a carbon fiber spoiler on, the regular 3M tape doesnt work. does anyone know where i can get the same super adhesive tape found on the stock spolier?

thanks.

two questions; where did you get the CF spoiler, and why don't you take it to your dealer to get the work done?

It is a euroteck dry carbon spoiler...and the dealer only has the same red 3M tape that is found at auto supply stores. I am wondering if anyone knows where to pick up the grey super adhesive tape found on our stock spoiler?

The spoiler should have come with a strip of adhesive and with a cover slip of tape that you pull off. Call the vendor and tell them to quit being so cheap.
