Anyone interested in Co-leasing a C63?
After all my searches for a good C63 lease deal have failed (current lease rates are horrid everywhere you search), I am trying to find someone willing to do a co-lease with me.
Here is how it would work, I would lease a new C63 for 48 months (about 800/m payment) I would pay all the taxes/upfront fees keep the car for 24 months, and then hand over the car to you for the rest of the lease (another 24 months).
I figure this way its a win win for both of us, since we will both be paying a fraction of the cost of leasing this car up front, and its fair since I would be paying the upfront fees (and get the "new" car) and you pay only 800/m (but have the slightly "used" car)
Let me know if anyone is interesting in working out something like this. Obviously you would have say in how the car is built(the current 800/m is with every package but performance).
PM me or reply to this thread.

If you can afford it during the first two years, why wouldn't you be able to afford it in the final two years?
Or why not just do a two-year lease?
Or why not just do a two-year lease?

This sounds like a risky idea for both parties. Each party would actually be a co-guarantor of the lease, so unless you're very good a doing due diligence on individuals, I would be wary.

Let's see here, you do realize that you would be on the hook for all liabilities for the entire lease? You can legally transfer a lease but the original lessor never is released from the ultimate responsibility until the lease term in complete.
Also, as previously asked, how in God's name could you afford the startups and 24 months but not the final 24 months? Do you have a planned unemployment date?
Please, do yourself a favor and tell us someone else is playing a joke on you by stealing your MBW logon or that you were high on meth or something. This is just embarrassing.

Since you are "parting out" the lease, could I have the CD changer for the entire 48 months?
My POS changer keeps breaking, sucking all kinds of great CDs into oblivion (not to mention hard earned loot) in the process.
I will pay you $1/year, which is fair because I already paid the up front cost (twice) of my broken changers.
Thanks in advance!

i think removing the words fair and smart from this post would be a good idea since neither are even remotely associated with this "idea".
but seriously, c'mon now... you cant post some half-baked idea like this and then not defend it when everyone rips it to shreds. if its such a great idea i think you could at lease explain yourself a little bit.
why on earth would anyone commit to paying the same amount you have been paying for two years to get your sloppy seconds and hope the car is still in good shape?? you cant seriously expect someone to just sit around and wait for you to be done with that car. there are so many other very stupid things about this idea, it really is the dumbest thing posted recently: good job!![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

Well, since we're asking....
I'd like to do this with an SLR if any of you are interested. I figured 10 of us chip in $76K each (don't forget taxes) and we all get it for one month a year each. The two remaining months in the year will be shop time to take care of the scheduled maintenance we'll need when we rack up 100K miles the first year.
Also, we will buy 10 Kia Rio's so everyone has something else to drive until they wait for their annual month.
