Brabus B63 S?

Does anyone have the Brabus B63 S package on their C63? I'm still looking around for a white/sahara C63 and in the mean time I've been looking up on some tuning options. I got quoted $8,000 for the package and I'm wondering if its worth it... From the research I've done it only gives ~+73hp. Seems I be throwing my money down the drain just for the Brabus name...?

I think for US$8k for an extra 80hp is reasonably competitive. Renntech, for example, charge US$8290 for 75hp according to this: http://www.renntechmercedes.com/c.html but their kit requires installation of headers to achieve that gain. Not sure about Kleeman's prices. I am not an expert but imagine what gains you could make with Brabus + headers! Although it might not get quite the same gross hp increase, Powerchip's product is probably the best bang for the buck on a $/hp basis.

I had my Powerchip ECU flash upgrade finally installed on my ML63 and its great.

I'd rather pay 8k for a "brabus" name than for a "renntech" name.

If not, then go kleeman/evosport

IMHO, you can't really go wrong with any of the big, long-standing MB tuners, Brabus/Carlsson/MKB/Renntech/Kleemann/Lorinser/et al.

That said, Brabus is typically viewed as the absolute elite of MB tuning, with a price tag to match. Money no object, I'd have a Brabus-tuned AMG in a heartbeat. Of course, money no object, it'd probably be an SL65BS that they'd be tuning

Kleemann's newly released pricing schedule (April '09) puts them comfortably in the driver's seat for "best bang for your buck" MB tuning organization. Kleemann's C63 tune is $1,495, and their C63 headers are $2,495 - AFAIK, no one else is even close to those prices.

Well, even w/ $ no object, for me, I'd still choose KLEEMANN, and did. Then again, the brand name of the tuner was not a critical decision factor for me. I wanted the most performance-oriented, but reliable tuning package, and KLEEMANN was the choice for me.

But if you value the utmost top-end of MB tuning brands, go Brabus.

I dont know... I would go with RENNTECH before Kleeman considering that the founder of RENNTECH worked for AMG years before and now they are tunning AMG's.Performance orientated and reliability on MB AMG's would be RENNTECH > Kleeman.

I went Kleeman. Same performance gains for ECU reprogram as the rest and $2000 less than the next competitor, RENNTECH.
