How do I get the darn eyelid bulb socket out?!
I've searched and can't find an answer. I can pop the cap/weather seal off and I can feel the back of the socket and wires, but I can't get it out. I've twisted the socket about 180 degrees counter clockwise and about 90 degrees clockwise while attempting to apply traction, but all I've managed to do is cut the back of my finger! Any tips?

Try to wrap your fingers around the bulb housing and pull if not....gently tug on the wires. But start slow, then pull progressively harder.
I should warn you some guy pulled his wire out. I have switched bulbs maybe a dozen times tugging on the wires and so far so good.

thanks for the link Azn C300.
I'll give it a try when I get home - I'm just now getting around to trying out the LEDs from the GB - thanks for that too btw.

Just a note, you can pull out the eyelids without disassembling anything...it's just sometimes easier to do so as you'll have more room to work with. If you have smaller or dexterous fingers, you can do it by feel without removing any panels. I'd also start with the left (passenger) side as you have more room than the right. That way you get some experience before tacking the tighter confines.

After you screw off the protective cap, you just need to pull out the orange part... I used a tool for this since my fingers are too big, its like a tweezer/pliers tool. Worked like a charm

What bulbs are you installing in the eyelids??
The LED's I got from AZN's Group buy are bright and look good (depending on your taste) BUT they are VERY BLUE, and I got the warm white(4300k) bulbs... I wish they were more white than blue...

We think it's a matter with the housing heating up too much causing a shift in shading. If you leave the LED on outside the housing, it's white and stays white. These will be the 3rd type of LEDs the forum has tried out and they all exhibit the same issue, but these were the least shifting of all the others. Not to mention there's a bluish coating on the inner housing to begin with.

no, you brought up a very legit point. It's a process that the non-amg 204 forum has been exploring from our contacts in europe and asia. We've found another LED just recently in Europe that's being testing out right now as well....5000K. I've PMed you the best solution for pure white LED though, but it will require a bit more customization and not simple plug-n-play. The reasoning for the bluish tint, which isn't a fault of the LED themselves, but the housing. We've been trying to find a solution to overcome the MB design without going full retrofit.

Got it all set up. Thanks everyone. Just wasn't pulling hard enough (I keep telling her that :P ). I haven't seen them at night yet, but after finishing one side and testing it I definitely like the look better than stock - bluish or not. Also, what's everyone's beef with rice? j/k. Now, of course, the fog lights don't match, but I hear they are a pain to replace. Is this true?
