Foglight Issue

So the other night my wheels arrive so I go get them at the front desk while my wife gets the car -- as she pulls up im like "WTF?" My right foglight is on along with my headlights. I go to the car and turn on the fogs and the other one turns on - but the right one always stays on as long as headlights are on. Any ideas why b4 I waste a day at the dealership?

its is a turning lamp function, most new MB's have it.

im not following - so this is a normal thing? It seems as if it stays on permanently though

Did you try having your steering wheel in a straight position then check it out? The fog lights go on depending on which side you turn. So if you turn steering wheel left the left fog light will go on (driver's side) and vice versa

Pat this is a feature that our cars come with, was it at dusk or early evening when this happened, as stated if you leave it in auto, as soon as it gets a little dark, with the slight turn/angle of the steering wheel the fog will com on, obviosuly depending which way the wheels are turned, left or right, all our cars have this, I also have it on my wifes 2009 ML350, I personally dont like it. Also, if you are turning and you have your turn signal activated, left persay, the left fog light will turn on, you complete the turn and it will shut itself off. This is for safety, as when you turn into a driveway, there might be a childs toy/bicycle etc. If you dont like it, just turn on your fog lights at the first sign of dusk/darkness.
