No cats with stock ecu, will it be ok?

No cats with stock ecu, will it be ok?
Next week im getting my exhaust modified. From the collector to the centre muffler i will be changing it to 3inch straight through no cats. I have been told it may put the ecu into limp mode because of havin no cats and the stock ecu. Is any one running no cats on a stock ecu and have you had any problems?

Well we have 4 cats. Do u wanna take all 4 off if so u will get light pop up.
The other way what u can do is take out the 2nd cats and resonators and u will be fine NO LIGHTS like stock but alot louder. Good luck with u mission and post some vids after

back then when i took out my resonators a few months ago... the sound was disgusting but it was loud

i m looking at what i can purchase to replace that section and make it super loud ... any ideas?

Yeah... those things are no joke. I had my encounter with one of those green turbo'd to hell, with some carbon titanium exhaust and all the goody gum drop stuff done. The way it catapulted off the line, I thought I was on Goliath at Six Flags.

I still beat it, but it was purrrrdy

i didnt know wtf that thing waas.....

holy **** was it fast

thank god that thing cant beat me

correct all 4, i have booked it in for dual 3in from the collectors (were the headers become 4 to 1) all the way to the middle muffler.
What does the light pop up mean? and how do i reset the ecu?

Google QTP cutouts or DMH cutouts...

Go with QTP

Electric cutouts are the "COOLEST" MOD!

CEL will pop on and u can't just reset it you have to have it done by a tuner or someone that know what they doing.

Call Barry (owner of QTP) tell him what size exhaust you have! 3inch? right?

So, you will need a 2 1/2 inch dump, go visit a LOCAL muffler shop and put your car on a lift and look for a good spot for clearance. Ask him if he will build you a 3 Bolt Flange and bolt that sucker in!

It is VERY easy....I can help you out if you want!

You will need 2 cutouts, $300, and don't let the muffler guy charge you more than $150-$200....Have a Stereo shop hook up the switch and let the fun begin!

If any of you guys are thinking about this, I can help you out! I have installed hundreds of these things....

you can run st8 after the primery cat and be on there are only sensors at the primerys after your clear.

thanks for your help guys. btw aussie c63's dont have charcoal filters unless i didnt see them in the air box when i removed it. and im going to the track on wednesday night, i just got toyo r888 st slicks fitted, hoping for a low 12.
