2009 c63 or 2010 E550 coupe? help

For the life of me I cant make a decision on what to get. I have changed my mind 10 times.
Background:
Drive 2003 M3
Age: 28
Status: Single
Looking For: Mercedes $70 k range.

I like the AMG beast look of the c63 with all option, but I also like the luxury look of the new e550. The price pretty much the same.

What do you guys think?

C63 if you want power, E550 if you want a better interior and sleeker lines.

I checked out the new E-class coupe at my dealership just a few days ago. The interior didn't look significantly better than the C63's.

Fafali> Even though you're single now, do you ever have to ferry more than just one passenger around? If you do, just be aware that those backseats have quite modest headroom, just like the Audi A5/S5, BMW 6 series, or any other coupe's.

That's the price you pay for the sleeker lines, I suppose.

No offense but I don't get these choices some of these people who ask about the C63 vs E550, S550 or even S63 AMG for that matter.

The C63 is a sports sedan and is purely aimed at enthusiasts. Cars like the E550 is for luxury and comfort. Why would anyone decide between those two very different cars. Even other AMG 63 or 65 cars are too big and bulky to be enthusiast cars and they are just luxury rockets.

It all comes down to what is more important to you. Performance and practicality - C63. Newer body and style and luxury - E550 coupe. The interior of the new E coupe is definitely a few levels better than the C63. If you are not into taking a car to near its limits, get the E coupe. The 550 engine has plenty of power for most people.

Ouch, that interior is a complete fail, imho. It's a mix of every shape, size, and material. If you squint and look at it , it kinda looks like a 1980s Buick interior. Esp the steering wheel....

I went through the same thing. I debated between the C63, CLK63 BS, GLK (yes, a GLK), and another S class.

I looked at some Audis but I didn't like their interiors at all. BMW dealer wouldn't even let me test drive an M3.

That picture seems strange. How come the car has the column-mounted shifter and not the centre console-mounted one? The rest of it does look like the E-class coupe though.

I debated between the C and the E... 63 that is! Personally, I think C63 vs. E550 is cross-shopping.

The only advice I can give is to settle in your own mind whether or not you want a high performance, kick a$#, luxury sports sedan.
  • If so, well then there it is right there. [Hint: C63]
  • If not, well then there is is right there. [Hint: E550]
Don't compare the vehicles. Instead, focus on making the decision based on what matters to you and what you want. You can't go wrong either way if you use this as your guide.

P.S. If you make a certain choice... just don't hate when the AMG goes flying by! Buyer's remorse is a cold SOB

If you're looking for comfort, style, luxury and just "adequate" power, choose the new E550 coupe. Otherwise, C63 is the choice.

That's an E-Class Sedan. I just posted the first E-Class interior I found sorry.

I was thinking about the same thing a while back, and here is my bottom line: if you want speed and max fun with your car then go for the C63; if you want better technologies, i.e. the radar driven Distronic-Plus and the open, no B pillar look, then go for the E coupe.

That sort of combo has been available in the E Class (W211) for a while. Options were either Sahara Beige and Black or Cognac and Black.

On second note, that is a E63 interior, no? Look at the sport pedals and steering wheel. Doesn't look like a regular E550.

Doesn't the E63 have the buttons to the left of the gear knob?
