Yea, one. Don't.

1) blue/white light is horrible when reflected, unless you go yellow hid.
2) turning the car activates the fogs frying your ballasts in short order.

Hmm. I have already ordered the HID's . I will let you know whow it goes. As for the fogs frying the ballasts, they will stay on constantly at night time. I have ordered 5000K color lights which matches the factory as close as I can get them. So hopefully it will enhance the visual at night.
No fog where I live anyway...

is that $19.99 for an HID conversion kit? wow, that is very inexpensive compared to most, even the one for my ducati was $100 I think.

The Kit was 65.99 for HID 500K bulbs and ballasts. I got screwed by the owners manual. The manual says the fog light bulbs are H11 , so I ordered a h11 kit. Today when I opened them up to install the kit they are actually H7's. Hopefully I can return them....

I have had HID issues for so many times. Burnt out ballast, burnt fog light tint etc. my personal advices, try to put those ballast under the hood and keep away from moisturizers etc, and keep away from tinting the fog light

and be careful with the less expensive kits overheating etc... it will get real expensive if its starts melting part of your car

So I finally got done installing the fog lights. Man they were a major pain to install. First the car manual said I needed H11's but the car actually takes H7's. Then I need the error canceller which is noting more than a capacitor. I finally installed that over the weekend and now they are working flawlessly and look amazing.
Yes you are absolutely right , the ballasts and the error cancellers should be mounted high because the radiator and the AC evaporator take up most of the bumper plus the headlight wash assemble is right on top of the driver side fog light. All these components generate a lot of heat. So the real-estate to mount the ballast is very scarce. Make sure you tie up the wiring away from any hot components such as pipes and moving components such as fans (passenger side front intake has a small fan). Secondly make sure they are high enough to not get water splashed all over them during rain or high road water. I mounted my ballasts on top of the original factory ballasts -- having slim ballasts helped. I just got back from a 300 mile road trip and the fog lights performed just fine. I will keep you all updated on any issues.

I also got 30% carbon tint on the car. It looks super sweet. Really enhanced the overall look of the car not to mention the car stays allot cooler in the 110F Texas weather.

i'm guessing C63 has active cornering fogs...
when u turn your steering to left/right at nite, then the left/right fog will turn on by itself...

if u have HID fogs, then the ballast may fry out faster...
thus, it's better to disable it if u plan to put HID kit...

Thats correct, I had to melt a hole in the H7 plastic housing to fit the HID bulbs. It was painful but worth it. How do you like the 12000K color and amount of light on the road? I still have the factory Headlights which are a bit yellowish but definitely produce lots of light (4300K bulbs produce the most lumens). I would want to match the fog lights....

mine is not my daily driver but the i like the purplish color it produces from the 12000k . i just like to be a little different from everyone else . the lights are not as bright as the blue or white bulbs but with the matching h.i.d in the fogs , i think it produce plenty of light . i get a lot of compliments on the lights . there is an s2000 here in el paso with the 12000k h.i.d.s and i can always tell when hes coming at me . i think it looks pretty damn good . i also took all the other lights out in the front cuz they looked too yellow with the h.i.d.s . all i have is the headlights and the foglamps . my side bumper lights and my little eyebrow lights above the headlights are disconnected .

its easier if you access to a lift . you won't need to remove the bumper . a little modification of the oem boot that holds the foglamp bulb and you have yourself a matching set of lights . it's not as hard as people make it seem . you need to get under the car on the lift and you will be able to figure out what you need to do .

I did have it under a lift and I took out the whole plastic under both sides and the front wheels and wheel wells and still was not able to get to the fog light. One of the coolers is blocking the way.

How did you attach the battery to your HID's since its in the trunk? Do you have a kit that doesn't need to be plugged into your battery?

my kit , from xenonking , is a plug and play which connects to the factory foglamp wiring . that's the easiest way to go . xenonking will sell you all the correct stuff needed for your car . they really know their stuff .

I noticed from changing my fogs with regular halogens that there is an extra relay between the factory plug and the bulb. Is this for the cornering to function? If I just remove it, wouldn't that cancel the cornering function?
