I don't think '10 will be selling at invoice. MB has been reducing the production for the rest of the line up to keep prices up. I'm sure the same applies even more so to expensive AMG's.

I say go with the 10K off on '09. You can install camera yourself from getting it at midcity engineering for under 1K. Get your own 19" rims about 4K. And lets face it you don't really need folding mirrors cuz our cars aren't wide like S class, or keyless go (although it's a nice option to have). If it was me I'd jump on the 09 go with the mods and be happy with 5K left over.

Yeah....an '09 C63 AMG purchased at $13k off MSRP + $1,500 Kleemann ecu flash + $4k 19" wheels and you're still $7.5k off MSRP on a $68k car = $60.5k which I believe is still UNDER INVOICE pricing on an '09.

2013 C63 Black Series
the previous year will ALWAYS have a deeper discount as dealers try to move that previous stock... what am I missing here... why would you discount 2010 cars as deeply as your carrying inventory of 2009 stock...if you did that, no one would buy the older cars.

the moment I find the right deal, I am in...and what I am finding is that $10k off is good, but it seems some are doing even better, and with some patience I hope too also.

a good example of this same phenomena happened with leftover 2008 Audi RS4s and S4s. I talked to a dealer the other day who had a fully loaded 2008 S4 on his lot, attractive color combo, every option...like $57k sticker...12 miles on the odometer, willing to sell if for $40k... its hard to sell expensive V8 sedans right now....

NOW is the time. Don't wait for 2010, the performance is what you want and it will be the same. I already have two out the door offers at 63K and under, including shipping. I have another dealer on the west coast who has said he can beat that..

If that's all you're getting off from your WA dealers, then it's time for you to shop out-of-state and ask about a deal w/ shipping included. You can certainly get a loaded (except PP) for much less than $60k. Now, if you're talking about a complete 'out the door' deal door @ ~ $63k or less including tax, tag, + title, well I guess that's around $57k-$58k + closing costs.

The offers I've been getting include taxes, tag, title, lic, and shipping. After I told a dealer in the midwest, that I had a better offer in my hometown, he knocked another 1K off his price! Since I wanted the 040 black, I just did an autotrader search and started calling, first on the west coast and then across the country. I think that the best deals are going to be, excluding the PP, all inclusive between 60 and 62K.

Or are my calculations wrong?

How much do you figure you can save by importing?
Below a 90 cent dollar, yes we are ahead of the game. What I am afraid MB is going to do is raise the price of the C63 due to the waffling dollar.

At $1.10, the price is really close. And you are right, not worth importing.

For each dollar you take off the price of the car, you get a better deal south of the border.

$7500 USD in savings translates to over $9,000 savings in Canada. When you factor that plus the fact the Calgary dealers aren't budging from MSRP, it makes some sense to import.

Nope; the best deals you should be able to find are a loaded (except PP) '09 C63 AMG for $54k-$55k + tax + title/registration = $57k-$59k (depending on your state tax). So, if you're only finding $60k-$62k out the door, keep looking. I know, I just got one for $58.7k out the door w/ tax + title/registration + shipping to my door...it should arrive early next week.

Yeah, you're right...The problem is I have to pay 9.5% sales tax in Seattle!! I think invoice on what you've described is about 55,300, including the 7,500 rebate. I'm actually within 2K, so I'm not too far off the best deal.

That's insane...you need to move to a different state. We typically pay 6.5% sales tax (state + county) in FL, but for cars, it is 6% state sales tax. So, you pay 9.5% sales tax AND you have to live in rain 90% of the year...sorry, but that sux!

I agree living in the rain for so many days out of the year sux, but it is so beautiful up there.
