Other jack points on C63

I know of the 4 standard jack points on the C63, but where else in the front can I safely place my jack stands? Im obviously using the standard jack point to jack up the car so I can place the jack stands so cant use those.

Two good places seem to be where the control arms attach to the body, and then there is a ribbed section of plastic that runs the whole side length of the car which seems to house the side subframe. I just want to make sure these are good places before I bend or break something.

The alternative would be to use a hydraulic jack on the front of the car to lift it up and then put the jack stands on the standard jack points, but I dont see a place under the engine to put the hydraulic jack either...and pointers to this?

Digging up an old thread, but I am running into the same problem trying to get my car onto jack stands to paint the wheels. Sooooo bump.

I usually just find a solid bolt on the sub-frame and put the jack stand on that. Although if someone else has better ideas, that'd be great.

Jacked on the differential for the Dyno run (to get both wheels in the dynapack). Dyno guy said it's plenty solid there, no issues.

I jack mine under the engine on the front and under the differential on the rear and stands go under the side jack points. If you look under the engine there is a plastic bump (protector) attached to the cross member. It is in the center between the front and second engine under trays and there is a semi circle molded into the second under tray. Just put your jack pad under the plastic bump. I use a 3 1/2 ton floor jack and 4 or 5 ton stands.

My car is that low i can't get a low profile trolley jack under it anywhere other than the standard jacking points.

My car is lowered as well. I put the jack under a side jack point behind the passenger side front wheel/tire. Lift the car enough to put a 2 1/2" slab of wood under the front wheel and lower it down. Then I can get the jack under the center of the car at the front and lift the front from there.

I can honestly say that I have never used jack stands or a floor jack. I just take it on base, and use their vehicle lift.

Instructions from the chief mechanic at the AMG Driving School - Start at one of the the FRONT jack points under the front doors - jack the car, and place a jack stand under the REAR jack point on the same side. Lower the front of the car, and repeat on the other side. Then jack the front of the car from the front jack point under the engine at the front cross member. Place stands under the front jack points. This process seems a little harrowing at first, but it works.

He said to NEVER use the differential cover as a jack point (although I have done it once on my C63 and a number of times on my other MB's with no problem).

As always, be EXTREMELY careful lifting your car and working underneath it.

Since all AMG cars give me harder erection than any pill, I just slide my legs under the vehicle and use my ***** as a jack.
