Anyone here switched from BMW M3 to C63?

Hi guy's

It's been a while since i posted here. I been switching from BMW to MB to BMW for years now. Now i am thinking about going back to MB. I currently have a 09 M3 E90. Thinking about selling the M3 and getting a new C63. Has anyone here gone that route? If so, where you happy with your decision? Need some opinions here.

Cheers,

I didn't own an E90 m3 before but i owned a MZ4 and other bmws before and always have been a Bmw M guy. However C63 totally won me over to the "Dark Side" with its torque, interior, sound, look, practicality and price. C63 is almost better than M3 in every way. M3 does handle better when you are pushing it but C63 with LSD will come close to the M3's handling.

I am debating for M3 or C63 too. I test drove both cars yesterday and now I am even more confused. If I have to say the difference is just the pure handling, the gap is small...
I can get great incentive for 09 C63 and invoice price for 2010 M3 too.. tough decision for me…
I have a question though, how much is maintaining cost for C63 since I need pay for it...

Thanks!

Can't go wrong with either car. I liked the adjustable suspension on the M3 and the cool tech over the C63. But the C63 exhaust, looks and torque won me over.

i have an e92 M3, and just bought my c63. what can i say, both cars are good. i love the handling of the M3, it out performs C63 any day. but im also addicted to c63's sound and straight line performance. the handling of the c63 is also very good, when it doesnt compare with M3. my c63 doesnt have the PP, b/c im going to put in some tunes. M3 is like a well trained pet that i love to hug, on the other hand, c63 is a wild beast that i love to ride.

If you are over 6' tall and ever want to use your backseat to carry people, the M3 is too small.

I test drove both and owned the E36 and E46 M3's. I thought the new M3 was awesome but not much of a change from the E46 (barely any TQ increase) so I went with the C63. I have since added Kleeman K1 tune and it is a completely different beast. There is no comparison between the two cars (as far as power) once the true potential of the 6.2 litre engine is unlocked. As for maintenance, I just spent $1k for three years of prepaid maintenance and it is now the same as the BMW plan.

Well, I didn't have an E90/E92 M3, but I did have an E92 PROcede v3 (tuned) 335i (with approx. 400HP / 420 lb-ft TQ), and you can see from my sig what I now drive. Although I only have 900mi. on my C63 AMG now (after one week ), I am very happy with my decision. I considered the M3, but I've been spoiled by the high-TQ of a tuned 335i, so the C63's high TQ and crazy sik sound won me over the TQ-less (but better handling) M3.

I got stuck with this issue too. M3 vs C63 and I actually considered a GTR too!

When I drove the M3 it felt like a faster s2000. It handles great but it has no torque. I was bummed that my Evo 9 had more torque and its just turboed 4 banger. After riding in the C63 there was no looking back. Although I wish I could afford a GTR

haha nice one. Also, I think 5th Gear broke it down as M3 = sublime, rs4 = civilized, and c63 = insane

I have a GTR,

I also Have an E92 M3--- I am currently trying to get rid of the M3 for a C63

The M3 is a reserved, great track car
the C63 is a wild road savage

the two cars are not very comparable ... 2 different worlds

You are saying M3 is more track ready car, and C63 is a beast of daily road? what about with PP package? better on the track? I test drove one with PP and one without it, I couldn't tell the difference..maybe not enough time..

I think it's just because both cars are really nice. That's why makes the decison is so hard.....

I had an E46 M3...pretty modded out. Loved that car but sold it and put a deposit on an E92 and picked up the C63 w/ PP in Feb. Both are awesome cars.

M3 = great laugh on a track

C63 = Big smile on your face everytime you go for a drive. It will still be a good thrill and laugh on a track.
