car cover recomendatation?
im considering a cover for my C63. it sits in the garage all week and i think to avoid a scratch from a broom handle or one of those gaudy big purses that my gf carries might warrant a cover.
so i dont need a weather proof one. probably just a breathable nice one to prevent scratches and dust. any suggestions?

Hands down, you can't beat these guys.
I've used them for years, and their products are great.

California Car Cover is one of the best; they are located on De Soto and Plummer in the city of Chatsworth CA.

California Car Cover they are IMO the best, I got the Superweave it folds to the size of over size Sunday paper. $350.00 + or -. However I don't think any car cover can protect your car from hail, but give then a call they will help you.

Well kid I am old enough to be your dad and yes they have car covers to help against hail. I am looking for one to put in the trunk for when I travel because I cant fit the garage in the trunk.

This is about the best you'll find but nothing is gonna prevent hail damage if you're in a serious storm:

I wouldn't use a cover in a garage if you drive the thing a lot, imho. You can get scratches taking the cover on and off.
Just keep broom handles, gaudy purses, and your gf out of the garage.

lighten up you crotchety old fart. He spoke the truth, not much is gonna help you in severe weather. And if it's thick enough to protect, it aint gonna fit in your trunk (your car's trunk for clarity)

They have some decent ones from empire. their website has a computer generation tool so you can see what the cover looks like on and off the car pretty cool.

I am using the M-B cover as sold (well, given to me at delivery) by the parts dep't. It's made from the NOAH material and is a very tight fit, so that might make it disadvantageous for indoor use but better for outdoor use so as to prevent flapping. The NOAH material is a really good all-around choice IMO...I've had it on three covers and can vouch for its overall performance.
NOAH FEATURES
Protective Outer Layers - A bi-component spunbond, using sheath-core technology. The inner core is polypropylene for strength, with a polyethylene wrap for softness.
Micro-Porous Middle Layer - The barrier layer is breathable film, a proprietary stretch-film technology developed exclusively for Kimberly-Clark. The film is stretched and subjected to a chemical process that creates microscopic holes smaller than droplets of water or dust, yet large enough to allow moisture vapor to escape.
Soft, Paint-Protecting Inner Layer - A bi-component fabric made with polyethylene and nylon. This combination results in an exceptionally high strength-to-weight ratio, with the "soft touch" necessary for today's water-based paint finishes.

C63 AMG Arctic w/ Stage 1 Tune, DoubleXX pipe, MCD-631X coming soon
I have always used Coverking for my needs, I have had them do custom covers for my Ferrari, my BMW and others. The material called Autobody Armor is awesome, soft, weather resistant, and very nice fit. I'm in no way affiliated with them. http://www.coverking.com/customcarcovers_materials.html
