Thanks to my wife's brand new black dress, my front passenger seat in Sahara Beige now has blackish dye marks all over.... I tried different methods to remove the dye from the leather (rubbing alcohol, water, tides, soap, Meguairs leather cleaner, magic eraser), but none of that stuff worked... Btw, don't use rubbing alcohol, as it took out the dye along with the leather coating..... argh!

I also took it back to the dealership (Mercedes Markham) and they used some strong alcohol based solution, but they only managed to make the dye stains slightly faded....

Do you guys have any other suggestions, short of re-dyeing the leather? This is bugging the heck outta me!

was gonna post about leatherique as well, got the pristine clean stuff and it seems to work nicely.

partially the reason why I'm stuck on black leather interior. I had tan before and I got a nasty stain from brand new jeans and it was a pain to remove.

For legal reasons I can't provide much detail but Leatherique can get blood, bowel contents and bile off the Sahara Beige leather. Fortunately it also denatures DNA but I'm getting off on a tangent here.

Killing your wife would be a good start. After that try looking into other products. Make sure you use them lightly before you go nuts so you dont do more damage.

Try Magic Eraser. That thing works wonders...

Wife opposed to the white leather in the first place, so now she is giving me that 'told you so' look.... grrrr...

I will give the leatherique product a try and let everyone know how it goes. I already tried magic eraser, and it made things worse.... (i.e. a line turned into a blotch).

While awkward at first my wife has gotten used to the hazmat suit with independent air supply that she is required to wear in my car.

The fault is the dress, not the car. Who is the vendor of the dress?

Try working in some of those suggested products after you've had the seat warmers on for a few minutes, might help get the stains out.

I have the same Sahara Beige leather interior and I always keep Armor All leather wipes handy and it does the job well.

That is a good start. It will help with her giving you "that look," too. The objective, to quote Cesar Milan, is a calm, submissive state. Then, take the dress shop into small claims court. The dress was flawed, not your car.
