I am checking the price of what it would cost us to make these... I should know in a day or so exact pricing. If we do make them. I will send you set for free and you can test fit it for us and keep them if they are good.

Ok guys... I just found out... We can do these for about 150-175 for the pair. This will include the 3M tape pre installed. Does this price seem ok? I am only checking since its pretty much the lowest I can go.

By "pair" you mean, that the $150 would cover both sides of the car? Also will they wrap around the edges so we won't have to use vinyl to cover it like (ZO) did? Yeah, and my only other question was if it would handle the exchanger heat, but pmknapp beat me to it!

We are gonna go ahead and make these anyway, its not a big job and we have everything needed.

Price seems high, I'll take my chances cutting it out from 40 bucks worth of CF with 3m tape.
ZO any chance you can post up those templates?
Thanks.

I don't mind e-mail you the templates but since Neal is going to make it I don't think I will work on my templates to perfect shape anymore.
Just want to let you know the Real CF sheet is very hard to cut to a perfect curve unless you use CF looks vinyle which looks cheap, also as one of the member mention you need to seal off the edge so moisture don't get in between and delaminated the CF, and the edge of the fin where I put the black vinyle the CF doesn't stick very well on the vinyle surface and is starting to peel off and doesn't look good. Maybe after a few month you need to redo it again and think about the time you need which everyone don't have enough.
That why I am very happy Neal is going to make it.

Thanks in advance Neal, Can't wait
A free pair from Neal and all the good compliments is good enough for me. Thanks guys !!!
I don't think is expensive compare to other CF vents on the market which sell for around $500, $150 is peanuts, it looks more OEM and less bulky.

I have made parts from CF laminate and though they look good they don't look as good as a pro made cf part or last as long. Neal while you are looking at this project how about a CF strip to cover the chrome strip on the trunk. This could be sold to the non AMG W204 owners (like me ) also.

'08 C63 AMG (turned in for lease)
Just brought some real carbon fiber sheet from ebay and decided to put it on the vent and see how it looks.
I think it looks better than covering the whole vent, I wish someone can make this into a real carbon cover, i think is not very hard and also a lot cheaper, (may be Euroteck ??)
Here are some pictures
