guys i have a few questions. i have a black (040) c63 and ive been thinking to make a few exterior changes to it. i was thinking to get rid of all of the chrome except the badges and either color match the parts (window trim, front grill, license plate frame, strip on the back) or make them matte black. also i was thinking of getting the taillights smoked but very light and definetly tints on all the windows. i was thinking maybe 35% because i dont want it too dark. what do you guys think?

I have a black one too and I orignally was planning on smoking the tail and head lights to match the blacked out car, but probably not going to do it. Although it would look awesome, I would be concerned about the breaklights not being bright enough during the day.

thanks alot. i was also thinking about doing the same black grill as you cause it looks really good. did you do anything else that was chrome black as well of just the grill?

Why would you want to black the ENTIRE car? Should'nt there be some contrast always in between? I have never understood that when people black out everything and even add blacked out wheels! It just doesn't look right IMO

I think you would want some contrast, so maybe try another color, matte anthracite?

The contrast is the major part. It is a very sophisticated detail that will lead you to a unique and special look.
I never understood Black wheels, the size and looks of the rim are erased by the black color of the tire. Black wheel + Black tires = Small wheels and high profile. As soon as you get black wheels pinstriped (white or even red whatever) you get a totally different look. Pinstripe makes a contrast and makes a borderline between rim and tire. (This is just an example)

No black out wheels in my plans yet.

+1 as well. I like the black w/ chrome accent contrast too; it looks classy as long as there's not too much chrome (to make it look 'ghetto...never liked overly flashy chrome wheels and stuff ).

That's exactly what I have done just 15% tint and front light tinted

My friend has a blk on blk c63 and the only think he has done is tints and next to my cat it looks like a old mans car.
P:s I dint know monsters are classy.

Your right this car is not meant to be exactly "classy". Yet the idea of blacking every single trim on the car without having any type of contrast doesnt call my attention much. I am still debating what to do with the grill since i dont want to black the whole thing out and still figuring out what to do. I do want to black out the chrome door trims and that would be enough for me with the whole blacking out thing.

The door trim is a must. I do agree with u about blacking out the whole car is not that nice it's just that when u strat u can't stop
