2009 C63: Money going away
From what I was told from a reputable source the money is on the way out. From Mercedes Benz: Clear out your inventory of your 2009 C63's or you will be on your own.
Does this mean the prices will go back to normal? Probably not. But im sure most of the discount will be gone. Otherwise the dealers will be losing LOTS of money letting them go at the current prices.
The 2010's are barely in production so its not like they will be sitting next to one another on the lot. My source tells me his computer shows 1 2010 C63 due to arrive and its not even in production yet. Im sure different areas will vary on this.
If you are interested in getting the 2009 C63 get it before the end of the month from what im told.
Just FYI: Im also told 2010 C63 is 1,000 more base MSRP.

Well, for us guys that got in at just the right time with the MB $7,500 mfgr-dealer incentive, and bought our C63's for under invoice, this is good news meaning that our cars should be worth a bit more...for a little while longer anyway. For those that didn't get to pull the trigger yet on a C63 AMG, then you may have to pay a bit more and/or wait for the 2010's to arrive. Either way, this is one phenomenal car so it's worth it!

Guys the car market isn't doing well, and in particular the luxury market. Do you really think that any of the AMG cars are 'flying' off the shelves? If MB takes away the $7500 no one will buy the 09s-they would wait for the 010 as those will come with keyless etc. My feeling is that they will actually increase the offer to something like 10k off on remaining C63s

I can tell you this - and I witnessed it - C63's were literally flying off the shelves. I watched the national inventory shrink day by day by day as I decided what I wanted.
The 2010's will likely have an increase in base price, as the 2009.2's did, which will cause buyers looking for a deal to save big bucks, even without the $7500 trunk money.
Maybe Im biased because if that money increases it will make me feel as if I got less of a deal but honestly, I can see why it has to end sometime. The inventory shrunk by a massive amount and the few stragglers that are left will then have some motivation to disappear.

at the current price 09 are definitely flying off the shelves except for specific areas of the states i guess. Despite the economic situation, amg and bmw M sales have gone up to an all time high i believe. I guess C63 and new M3 are just too good to resist.

btw -- I know the BMW M3 is great, but I was just not imprssed when I test drove one a while back and then drove off in my tuned 335i which had 100 lb-ft. more TQ right from 1,500rpm; the M3 really neeeds to be wound up to make it feel fast. The monster TQ of the C63 AMG + its excellent handling capabilities, incredible sound, and build quality are what won me over!

AFAIK, the BMW M3's are not being discounted to the degree of the MB C63 AMG's. However, BMW's lease rates (MFs) are usually better than MB and I believe BMW Financial is also offering great financing deals right now (but not sure on the M3's). For me, a $68k MB C63 AMG for $55k (approx. $5k under invoice) and financing @ 4.7% APR was just too difficult to resist.

love the torque, sound, and build quality. not to mention the 14k off sticker. AMGs first car that has it all.

If the money goes away and the dealers break even on the C63 they will be selling them for around 58K or so. Not 53 to 54 that were seeing now. As they 2010's get closer the dealers will have no choice but to lose money on the car.
MB is interested in getting those cars out on the street. Not cheapen and depreciate the vehicle with a prolonged discount. That will only hurt future sales and depreciation of the 2010's

Honestly, it makes absolutely no sense at all to get a 2010 if you can still get a new 2009. There is little to no difference.

If anyone is still trying to get in on the '09 C63 deals, please PM me because Carlos just got a good deal from the dealership I bought from and they are still willing to do the same deal if the car can be located. ($11K off of MSRP on $67,430 list C63).
Thanks,
Drew
